I can get my keyboard to pair and function in OSX. When I try to get it to pair in windows, it takes several tries and when it even gets as far as the number entry, I must be very quick or I need to start over again.

Oddly, the Caps lock light works, but nothing else in windows.

    How do I fix this?

Is this in Boot Camp? Or trying to use it on non-Apple hardware?

If you're using Boot Camp, reboot to OS X and pair it there - should work when you go back into Windows. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3092

If you're using with non-Apple hardware, dunno.

Also have a look at this related thread: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=630024

There it is suggested to unpair the device from OS X before trying in Windows.

This is also my experience with the Apple KB. I ended up picking up the Logitech K810 to share between three Windows boxes.

Now it won't even pair in OSX. I'm ready to kill it.

I got it paired in OSX again, and renamed it, then unpaired it. It went into a flashing led mode. I reboot into windows, paired it again, then nothing. It still won't work. Windows does say it paired by gives the old name "assault me." (I'm hard on my keyboards.)

    Still no luck.
