Apple Boosts Over-the-Air App Store Download Limits to 50 MB

There are still countless corporate legacy mail servers that don't take anything above 5MB, but this is rapidly increasing to 10MB.

My private email provider allows me to use unlimited attachment sizes. But how useful it is when your email gets rejected on the other end?

Seems reasonable. As they initially refused to allow tethering. Data is data, right? Such restrictions have no reason to exist.

30GB being a VERY reasonable amount if that's your main Internet connection. Geez, I consider myself to be a light Internet user, yet don't go below 100GB, unless I'm out of town.

Thats just my mobile phone connection, I use waaay more than 100g at home.

:D

Home server Power. I feared I would raise criticism telling that, for the most part when I had two PCs, I was commonly above 400GB, and it was not uncommon to go above 600GB.

Criticism be dammed. I pay for the bugger so I am going to use it.

And still there are people to complain about "unlimited, when you pay for something you don't use". Well, yeah, that's how "unlimited" works. But a GB costs next to nothing to move around.

So do millions of other people, and I think the point is that they deserve to enjoy their share of a speedy internet connection without a few hogs straining the network by streaming gigabyte-huge movies. :)

This is not something I do on a daily basis, and I am certainly no internet hog, but, on those rare occasions when I do want to download a tv episode or movie from iTunes, I should be able to.

Didn't saw that one. As a paying "unlimited" user, I want it to use as much as I want, anytime I want. It's the carrier's responsibility to upgrade their network to fit the use, or just not sell "unimited" when they can't support the load. Multi-gigs is nowhere unusual nowadays. If they can't support it but claim to, people will move.

This thread is a joke! I love my 2010 Nokia phone even more. Apple works for the carriers rather than the consumer. If I've contracted unlimited data, what the OS have to do with MY bandwidth?

I would say "Just unlock my Facetime and my downloads from AppStore and shut up!"

I can't believe this is serious yet. Maybe tomorrow MR moderator will note that this thread was posted by mistake.

Sorry for bumping, just wanted to say WTF apple.. Is it all about money now? Not making customers feel valued at least... So I can't download a movie on my iPhone 3G.. But I can tether my iPad to the phone's 3G and download thousands of movies... And visa versa. ****** apple...
