just like that cnet video im sure there's more packaging like 3 verisons as he mentioned. so least we now know what the ss box looks like. now just sport and edition :D:mad:
 
I wonder if the packaging will be slightly different here in the UK. Our power plugs have three pins as opposed to the two pins on the US ones and tend to be bigger and bulkier.

I imagine that's the 1M cable which is probably the standard one. Personally for my needs even that isn't long enough and I will likely be buying the 2M optional one.

Looks longer than 1M to me but you might be right.

That's about the crappiest box I have ever seen any watch come in.

A white plastic box. :(

I have bought watches for vastly less that have come in much much nicer box's. Ones that look lovely to give someone as a gift.

$1000 and it comes laying sideways in a cheap plain plastic box.
I know apple is about simple, but this is supposed to be classy fashion is it not?

This would be the type of box I'd expect a $20 watch to come in. :(

Hardly anything you would wish to give as a gift.

Definitely a 2 meter cable. Another thing of note. Not only is the band you pick included packaged in the box (some suggested that they would be added at the store), it even has the band printed on the box [see pic]. Apple's attention to detail coming through. The box/packaging is a little excessive for Apple's general minimalist packaging. Looks like Apple is going for a higher end experience with the :apple:Watch.

We know the edition will come in a different package and it looks like the Sport will also. I wonder how minimalist the Sport packaging will be? Also I bet the Sport comes with a 1 meter cable instead of the 2 meter included with the SS.

It doesn't make sense that they would offer the longer cable as standard whilst offering both that and the shorter one for separate purchase. With the iPhones and iPads they've always included the shorter cable and offered that as well as a longer one for separate sale. I don't see Apple changing that and I'm pretty sure it's a 1M cable that's included. It certainly doesn't look like its 2M to me.

A white cardboard box, with a cheap white plastic box inside is. In your mind. "Going for the higher end experience"

1 meter is about the length of an average man's outstretched arm to the middle of the chest. Stein stretches it with both arms fully extended and it hags with a lot of slack. Clearly at least a 2 meter cable.

I also saw a video that someone pulled the AW box out of a small white bag with the words AW logo on top. Apple's really going for a nice shopping experience here.

Then that's certainly a change from previous device releases by Apple.
