any idea why Apple never tried to release their own branded laptop bags? they release some very cool iPad/iPhone covers, they should do ones for their Mac line up too i'm not a big fan of many of the laptop bags in the market.....

My guess is that the margin for a $20 phone case that costs perhaps $1 to make is huge compare to that of a $75 laptop bag. Plus, many more phones are sold versus laptops. Plus, laptop bag takes a lot more shelf space.

It just doesn't make economic sense.

In the past, there have been laptop bags with the Apple logo at the on campus Apple Company Store. Nothing in recent memory.

I have a backpack style bag that has Apple logo. Perhaps others in my collection.

There are many Apple logo items available at the Company Store on Infinite Loop.

I can see why some folks might want one, but I would never use one. It's just an invitation for a thief to bypass a generic bag to score a Macbook with good resale.

For that reason, I carry my Macbook Air in a Dell laptop bag. ;)

Actually, the Dell bag is extremely comfortable. Almost as good as the old IBM Thinkpad bags (before Lenovo took over).
