Yeah their replace your phone every year replace your iPad every year and replace your computer every three years is working very well.

Seriously. Spot on.

And to think folks are getting shamed about returns on “environmental grounds”.

Give me a break.
Apple is the biggest fraud out there on the “green” angle

good work mr cook
mr jobs would have been proud
My IRA sure is proud as it finally hit 7 figures last year. Please do not think I am bragging as I have terminal cancer. I just always wanted to make sure my wife and daughter would be taken care of money wise so this will especially help my wife until she hits 60 and starts drawing my Social Security benefits.

In a memo shared with staff when Apple hit the $1 trillion mark in 2018, Apple CEO Tim Cook said the achievement was "not the most important measure of our success,"
Honestly, I can't say I care too much about how high the stock & market cap is. How many employees work full time vs part time? How many need multiple jobs to put a roof over their head and food on the table? Yes I've heard the whole "Want better pay? Up your skills and get a better job" spiel ad nauseam. How many employees can afford (in terms of both money and time) to up their skills? How often does Apple promote from within vs getting someone from the outside? How many people (employees & non-employees) can afford Apple products? It doesn't really matter to me if Apple is worth $1 Billion or $1 trillion if its employees depend on food stamps.

Branding...Branding...Branding...So many loyal and repeat customers on a monthly, daily, yearly basis create the success of Apple's performance. No other competing company within the tablet, phone, and wearables market can say that. The improvements I see that Apple needs to correct is smartspeaker and streaming services. iTunes/App Store is on fire.

I would like Apple to create an Apple Gaming Platform to rival PS5 and Xbox X. Add in Apple Car and AR/VR, Apple is headed to be a 4T company.
If they do all of that, I’d dare say a 5 trillion company

For some reason, in today's world, many folks are delighted with some big corporation being wealthier beyond comprehension.

Right here.

I'm not a shareholder so Apple becoming a $3T company is nothing for me to celebrate. But it does confirm my previous decision to make a steady and progressive departure from Appleland. IMO, Apple has jumped the shark from being a company that made money by doing the right thing for their customers to one that is laser-focused on profits and value at the expense of customers.

They're not unique in that regard and they are free to continue down that path... it's simply that I choose not to contribute to that effort. ;)

Reminds me of this 2007 'we don't ship junk' clip of Jobs with Cook and Schiller.
While Apple may not be shipping junk in 2022, it's certainly not selling it for the lowest possible price. It's more like the highest possible price we can get away with.

Congratulations to the brilliant engineers who, over the course of many years, have developed the hardware and software that has made so many of our lives better, often in surprising ways.
Otherwise Apple would have no one to copy. ???

Two reasons usually.

1. They are likely getting personally wealthier

2. They haven’t spent enough time researching all the ways it’s bad and directly or indirectly it harms them or their society or folks in a different location or the planet, etc.

i hate it but i can't blame them for it. if it's too expensive, but people are willing to pay for it, then it's not too expensive. i hate that going from 16gb of ram to 32gb costs $400, but i'm no expert here. apple realized that selling at the cost difference of $400 will net then more rev in the end, even if less people buy it.

May I ask, and I am not meaning to come off as a jerk, if I do, I apologize. I am curious though it you left AppleLand why are on a Mac-centric rumor site? Now I read your reasoning and respect that but like me I personally can’t stand, say M$FT but I will never waste a moment of my life by going to a Microsoft rumors website. Also, yes I realize people can make choices on the www but never saw the need to go to a site who I am not going to do business with or dislike their products.
