Then you are vastly better off just using either (a) the Apple adapter kit and the bricks, or (b) a generic adapter kit. I can't possibly see how buying country-specific cables will in any way lighten your load. You already have the travel kit. $10 at Radio Shack will get you the adapters. Then you're all set. Unless you're spanning the globe with your travels, you shouldn't need more than one or two adapters.lexus said:

Well, it would have been less complicated had you mentioned that in your first post. Anyway, why is it that you'd rather buy two cables (or more... are you bringing all of your laptops?) instead of just bringing two tiny adapters? The cables take up a lot more room and weigh more.lexus said:

Yes... but, as mentioned above many times, you can get an adapter kit which plugs onto the end of the cable. You'd bring two of them - one for the UK and one for Europe - which would, combined, be much smaller than a single cable. Forget the Apple kit if you need the length, and just go to Radio Shack (or any other such store).lexus said:

All of these machines come with power adapters that support both 110v and 220v. So, all you REALLY need is plug adapters (which Apple sells a set of) that allow your power adapters to plug into UK, European, Asian, etc. outlets. Once you have the plug adapters, if you want to add length to the whole setup, just pick up an extension cord in whatever country you happen to be in at the time.
You are making this WAY more complicated than it needs to be.
