I am running iOS 14.4 on my iPhone 12 Mini. I noticed that the native Apple Calendar app defaults to the Today view instead of the Month view every time I reopen the app. The odd thing is, that on my iPhone SE (1st Generation), does not do this kind of behavior. And is running iOS 14.6.

Is there some settings that I can perhaps check to make the Calendar app always default to the Month view every time I re-open it?

Thank you.

That is very odd. I just checked Calendar on my mini and it automatically shows the month by default. I didn’t see any setting that one might change from today view to monthly view.

Any more ideas? I tried to look at every settings. Yes, it is VERY odd...

I will try to remove the app and then reinstall it from the App store and perhaps after that, it should not even hurt to reboot the phone.

If that doesn't help, then no big deal. Not a huge issue.

Thanks!

After looking at the Apple support doc, you may have accidentally changed the default view without realizing it. See if this helps.

I noticed this too. For some reason it defaults to Today view when I open the Calendar app. I’m running 14.6 on an iPhone SE 2020.

Ok, got it to work. I just needed to go back to show all the months view by tapping on the year then selecting another month, then reopened and, BINGO!!!! went straight to the month view.
