How do you feel about the interface on iPhone's stock Calendar, and do you use other alternatives? Or do you just cope with stock like me?

I think it's descent on MacOS, meh on Ipad, but annoying on the iPhone. Month view only shows 1 grey dot per date, therefore I have to take one extra step, click on each date for my events to appear below. I wish I could see the events or their colors. Week mode would've been great - nope, not into rotating my phone. Feels like an accidental gimmick Apple added without being aware of it themselves.

I tried Google Calendar, but I think it's kinda unattractive and looks like a children's calendar on the iPad. Fantastical would've been the best option as it displays events in a month view + week view, but I'll never subscribe to them, I spend so much money buying their apps, and then they scr*wed many of us over with their ridiculously overpriced subscription.

Isn't it sad stock calendar has stayed the same since iOS 7? :(

I am using fantastical on all my apple devices. I like the ability to quickly create new events using natural language, and while I didn’t really have an issue with the stock calendar app, fantastical is just so much better and the subscription is less painful when I am on multiple apple devices (iphone, ipad, Apple Watch, MBA and imac). Plus, that sub now covers Cardhop as well, which is a pretty decent contacts app as well.

Fantastical is excellent. If you don't want to sub, Calendar 366 is another good app that I believe will do what you want, Tina.

But you pay like 8 bucks a month, right? in Europe there’s taxes so it’ll probably be even higher… I mean, that’s almost like paying to Spotify each month

It’s $55 a year for me (Singapore dollars, so about $34.5 euro? That works out to about $5-6 a month.

I’ve tried almost all the calendars. Fantastical still is the best out there for my needs. I recently just started the subscription.

I hope that Apple does something with the stock calendar. It’s overdue.
