I have a question. I have a 2016 Malibu. To use Apple Car play, I don’t think the USB- C cord is going to fit. Is it a convertor cord I can buy?

If your car has a USB-C port, you will need a USB-C to Lightning cable. Apple sells these for $19.
If you have a 2016 Malibu, the connector is most likely USB-A. You may need a USB-A to Lightning Connector
