Apple has lost "several" top managers from its internal Apple Car project, codenamed "Project Titan," causing a potential setback to the launch of the self-driving car, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

What, we are onto Page two and not a single Apple Tag (to help find them) comment??

I don't recognise this place anymore.

Yah this just confirms that I don’t expect Apple to actually get into the automobile business.

It’s far too large of a risk for them to take. And it has nothing to do with their business. Too many distractions from an already too diverse product lineup.

Tesla is pretty much the “Apple” of cars. Like it or not, it is true.

I couldn't imagine an Apple phone back in the days.
A phone is not a car, Apple is in the electronics business. Apple had plenty of portable devices that pointed towards a phone. The Newton and the iPod and later projects like the Motorola ROKR. Not to mention iPhone.org owned by Apple years before the iPhone was a thing. If you couldn’t imagine an Apple phone before the iPhone, you must not have much imagination.

Tim basically said during his most recent interview there will be a full autonomous Apple Car. Read the interview.
“We investigate so many things internally. Many of them never see the light of day.”

He didn’t basically say they would release a car. He kind of admitted they may be working on one but that’s not a very well kept secret.

So wrong. Mid level management is useless. Top executives like CEO and CFO matter a lot. Get a bad CEO in a company and you’ll see what happens.
Both are wrong and right in equal measure.

A bad manager with good, capable staff isn't really anymore effective than great manager with crappy staff.
To say that a good manager can bring the best out in their staff isn't really any different to saying good staff can show a bad manager where they went wrong.

Maybe they were let go because Apple isn’t releasing a car…. I just can’t imagine an Apple car. Maybe I’m wrong.

When I hear Apple car its like I hear KFC Pharmaceuticals , it just does not sound right.

No, for large companies, CEO really matters.

We'll have to disagree.
A company can tank just as easily either way. There have been times when plenty of decisions have been made by good employees that didn't tell a bad manager, and the job was still done/deal closed.

You don't get one without the other.

Bad CEOs ruin companies. Happens all the time. Tim Cook is an incredible CEO and you see what he’s done with Apple. Greatest wealth creation in history.

IBM had terrine leaders like Meg Whitman and never recovered. Intel has seen it too. Google and Amazon have great leaders.

So what?
How does that mean bad employees can’t ruin a company.
just leave it there. We disagree.

You don’t know what you’re talking about though. Bad leadership in big companies matters and it’s proven over time in large cap companies.

Great. Be happy with what you posted and leave it there.
getting bent out of shape will only be detrimental to you - I don’t care.

Then stop posting. It’s not “all bent out of shape” to correct something objectively wrong.

If Apple lost Tim Cook, it would be devastating because Tim Cooks aren’t just running around.

You mean like Robert Nardelli who, after just a few years at Home Depot, drove it to near bankruptcy and was fired with a $210 million severance package and then moved on to become the CEO of Chrysler?

Right. There are so many examples.
