Just happened to see this drive by. So they aren't just in California.

Apple car sighting in Florida

It's the same camera/GPS mount as the Apple cars. This car did have a California license plate. It drove back, and by me again. This time I got a really good closeup burst in iPhone 6plus.

"Vehicle similar to the ones Apple is testing sighting in Florida."

I think even in the original "Apple car" stories, it mentions that the system on the top is leased from another company - so the camera/sensor apparatus on the top isn't Apple-specific; it's just that Apple seems to be the most prominent customer.

Point being. This is MacRumors so there is a reference in the title to quickly associate what was seen.

Wonder if all the systems are leased out of California?

I spend about 5 minutes a week here now so can't vet all the bylines.

Welcome to "MacFacts"

Everything requires a source. 😉

If this is Apple's vehicle it makes me think the whole thing has more to do with 'Maps' improvements then any kind of "Apple Car" testing.

With some luck I hope I never see an Apple car.

As much as my iPhone 6 Plus crashes, an Apple Car would be riskier than the overexposed, over-hyped, Tesla. 🙂
