So the charge just landed for my new 16" MBP pre-order on my Apple Card and it's showing 6% cash back? Has anyone else's charge that paid with Apple Card landed?

I'm definitely not complaining but I tried looking and haven't seen any promotion advertised of double cashback on these pre-orders.

Apparently they started it sometime this week, since charges are first happening today -- everyone should be getting it if it is real

My MBP charge appeared around noon today, and it is only saying eligible for 3%... I wonder if the 6% some people are seeing is a glitch, my 3% is a glitch, or that for some reason I not a favored user of AppleCard.... ?

I'm only seeing 3% on my installments unfortunately.
It worked on my Apple Watch series 7 order. Did you just place your order or was it from earlier this week?

Can confirm. 6% for installments too.
Oh wow ?

Edit: When I go view it in my installments it says "Eligible for 3% Daily Cash" but granted nothing has actually been posted yet since none of them have shipped. Are you seeing "Eligible for 6% Daily Cash" in your installment information?

It doesn’t state anywhere and neither Apple nor Goldman Sachs have any clue regarding the promo. But it just showed up in the Wallet app after placing the order.

What's more shocking is seeing how many people are doing installments for a laptop...

It's actually dumb not to as it's completely interest free. Because of inflation and opportunity cost of investing elsewhere you're throwing money away by paying in lump sum.

All my Apple purchases are done this way and I make $240k w/ no family to take care of... it's certainly not because I can't afford any of these items many times over.

exact same reason why I finance my bigger purchases if its 0%. I can generate descent interest on that money somewhere else. love the Apple Card for that reason.

This could be a financially irresponsible move, depending on how the rest of your financial information (debt and income) looks, but it is not necessarily a bad move. As the others above have pointed out.
