There is an Apple Card, Apple Cash, Apple Pay and Wallet outage that is causing some users to experience issues with Apple Cash transaction notifications, ‌Apple Pay‌ web payments, and in-app payments using ‌Apple Pay‌.

apple-card-1.jpg

According to Apple's System Status page, the outage began at 06:15 a.m. Eastern Time, and it is ongoing. Apple says that only "some users" are affected, but no other information on numbers is given.

The problem does not seem to be impacting payments that are made using ‌Apple Pay‌ in retail stores, with those ‌Apple Pay‌ purchases working fine. There is no word yet on when the ‌Apple Pay‌ outage might be resolved, but we'll update this article when Apple says that the ‌Apple Pay‌ issues have been addressed.

Update 7:53 a.m.: Apple says the issues have been resolved.

I have ran up my Apple Cash in Christmas purchases recently. Always get edgy with these outages and the rumored split between Apple and Goldman Sachs

What does that mean? Apple Cash is money sent to you from others or added from your bank account. How does that make you nervious?

All my Apple Cash disappeared at the beginning of December. All the transactions were visible in the app but the balance was zero. Talked to two people at Apple Support and one at Green Dot Corp (that’s the partner that handles Apple Cash) and about a week later my balance reappears.

You need to keep an eye on these things…

This was happening to me last night, around 9:00pm EST. Couldn't order food in an app with Apple Pay using any of my cards and thought I was going crazy.

I couldn't pay at Meijer yesterday evening with Apple Pay and my BOA credit card... Ended up tapping with the actual card and it was fine..

I had a similar situation but with an Apple Card payment. Normally the payment credits right away but this time it didn’t and after a few days of waiting I had time to chat/text with a rep who then apologized for the inconvenience and credited my account immediately. Imagine how long I would have gone with out noticing ? I’m glad I noticed fast and reached out to them when I could. Since then, I use the Apple Card lightly.

As long as I can get my Egg McMuffins with hash browns and coffee using Apple Pay, all is right with the world.

Well first of all, Apple Cash has nothing to do with Goldman Sachs. So if you actually meant your Apple Card credit card you have nothing be edgy about. The RUMORED split is more than a year away, plenty of time for you to cancel your Apple Card if this bothers you.
