I recently had the pleasure of using the chat support when my physical card stopped working (the card was just messed up, the account was fine). The person was just weird and had no idea what they were doing. They were asking me questions like "are you sure the store supports Apple Card?" Do you mean Mastercard? Yes, they take Mastercard. Then they tried to tell me what I was wrong, and the card was working fine because they saw transactions a week ago.

I didn't realize there was an automated "request new card" button, but eventually I found that and got a new card.

I was recently told at an A&W that they all took Apple Pay but not Apple Card. So i was like this person is an idiot and tapped my watch and sure enough, it didn’t go through. Tapped another MasterCard and worked fine.

First the Apple Card, then the GM Mastercard were taken on by Goldman Sachs. Neither support integration with Quicken. GM Mastercard users are livid because the previous processor, Capital One, fully supported Quicken. I’m one of those users. Apple Card users have been asking for Quicken support since day one to no avail.

Apple needs to find another bank to take over the Apple Card because Goldman Sachs simply cannot get their act together. It’s a failed experiment on their part.

I think they are looking at it. My gut says it’ll be a visa as well before too long.

Early on I had to question GS as to why if I paid my balance early they continued to charge me interest on the original balance through the end of the month, even if the "balance" reflected only current month charges. If I pay my balance early that's it, you can't charge interest on a $0 balance. I never got a satisfactory answer but they stopped the practice as far as I can see. Very shady.

Not sure if any conclusions to be drawn from the CFPB investigating anything. That is a clown agency without oversight that can investigate things they read about on a Reddit forum without any restraint. Maybe there is a problem maybe their isn’t but the CFPB investigating isn’t evidence of anything.

I am only one but I have found this my most responsive credit card ever. Texting is fast and I have gotten help easily. I have not disputed any charges because there has been no fraud and I don’t involve credit card companies on returns.

I thibk Gold Man is a rip off and whoever at Apple chose them should be fired.
... why TF did Apple go with Goldman Sachs? They are the worst! I am cancelling this card the second this issue is resolved. I may have to go tothe U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) with my issue. In fact.. I will...
The sad saga continues. From the moment the Apple Card and its partnering with GS was announced, I and a very few others here posted that we were shocked at Apple choosing a company with little or no experience in the credit card business, and more importantly one with such an immoral, reprehensible and sleazy background (does the 2008 financial crash ring a bell?). But most posters either had no interest in the history of the company or did not care. They were just wetting themselves to have the "privilege" of applying for the Card. Well, many were turned down, some were shocked at the low credit limit they were given, some alleged discrimination based on gender and since then many have had problems paying off balances or transacting purchases in stores.

As to whoever chose them being fired, the CEO has ultimate responsibility for what happens, so as he has done countless times over the past few years, Cook yet again displays very poor judgement.

Fortunately for the residents of every country except the US, the Card is not available.

Apple Card cust service is really pretty terrible.
I think one time they got rid of a hold, but that could have even been coincidence. Otherwise, they are garbage. Wish they had a way other than through messaging too. If I'm at work, they take so long to first answer me, I'm off break, and by the time I'm back they closed the case.

The thing I don't like with that is they need to specify to go into the wallet app on the cover you get the card in. All it says is hold your phone near, but nothing happens until you go into Wallet and tap Activate New Card.

The CFPB was one of the greatest departments created by government for consumer protections before being gutted and losing power. They were actually making changes for the better for everyone.

They were literally the only thing protecting people from predatory lenders and practices, and it’s a shame the previous administration and that party completely rejects the idea of having a government that actually works in its citizens best interests. But apparently letting any company take advantage of people with no consequences is much more important to them than those they claim to care about.

Wonder if that is the issue with Redner's. Does A&W instantly give an ! with an invalid message or similar. But I think it also happened for me with another card. And it can't be tha card since I think it did work with the physical card.

It just said “Unsupported Card” on the screen. I know very little about POS systems but I was under the impresesion that vendors could opt out of card types(like Costco and MasterCard)but not a specific bank’s card. But again, I don’t know.

Personally I think that they are slow to update your available credit (sometimes up to 10 days )after a payment. I think it's their way of minimizing how much they have to credit to Apple Cash.

Huh? That makes no sense. The amount of your Apple Cash is based on the percentage of the purchase, has nothing to do with interest or payments.

Also, if you pay your Apple Card from your Apple Cash it will post immediately. I add the funds to my Apple Cash from my debit card then pay my Apple Card. Balance is reflected right away.

As an (exceedingly minor) Apple shareholder, I thank you from the bottom of my IRA.
I live in iTunes for my entertainment. If it’s there I buy it. Otherwise I use streaming. I’m hoping eventually Stranger Things gets put on iTunes so I can buy it and drop Netflix sub. I like to rewatch stuff a lot.

Wow, that's bizarre! If they take MasterCard via tap, you'd think they'd also be able to accept any MasterCard via tap. What gives?

Never had a chargeback, the ONE gripe I do have is GS is slower than molasses in Alaskan winter at reporting to the credit bureaus. TransUnion is a month behind the other 2 are 2 months behind. AMEX/citi (x2)/cap1/discov/Wells Fargo/synchrony all report in a day or 2 from statement closing for me…not GS

That only happens to us when the month changes, and this last month was much better than usual. Although outside of payments and transactions, it does sometimes fluctuate for no apparent reason.

Had a Amex gold and plat cards. Switched to Apple Card for simplicity.

I worry though because on Reddit the r/applecard site is filled with tons and tons of issues reported by customers. Some in thousands of dollars that they are being screwed out of.

It certainly has me on my toes.

No sympathy for them. They are still making money hand over fist. What happened is they gave customers an easier way to actually dispute charges and mistakes and customers are actually using the system that was historically made difficult to to access on purpose. In the past they relied on it being a time consuming burden on customers to do this and most people who valued their time let small dollar mistakes and chargebacks slide and only reserved the effort for calling in big ticket mistakes and chargebacks.
I use a TD Bank credit card and it has always been easy to dispute fraudulent charges. It’s just the standard Fair Credit Billing Act procedure that takes five to ten minutes on the phone and the issue is usually fully resolved in a couple of days. Even once I missed the 60 day window and still got full recovery although it took a little longer.

Because of course they’re funded by these corps
