them getting into the credit card business is like McDonald's now selling lumber. What's next? Mattresses?
Don’t forget Sears. That card is now known as Discover.Let's look at a few companies with branded credit cards: Apple (the old Barclaycard), Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Target, Office Depot, Home Depot, Cabelas, Canadian Tire, Macys, pretty much every airline, pretty much every hotel chain, GM, Mercedes, universities (via alumni associations), essentially every gas station brand, many political organizations...
Why wouldn't Apple have one? Look up "affinity credit cards".
The 3% on Apple purchases or Apple store purchases, does this include App Store/iTune purchases as well? You'd think anything anything Apple related would count as 3% cash back?
This. I'm waiting to upgrade to the new 16" MacBook Pro and retiring my 2012 Pro Retina. It's served me well, but it's time to decommission it.It does include those purchases. I’m looking forward to 3% on my new 16” MBP and getting those sweet, sweet southwest miles as well
Also, Apple Music just got 3% cheaper...
I think the card looks beautiful. It's simple an elegant, unlike the rest of the Credit Cards.Too bad the back of the card is so ugly. Steve Jobs never would have allowed such an ugly back of the card, he had the engineers sign the inside of the original Mac, because you should be proud of the work, even if no-one will ever see it.
but seriously, the back is so ugly.
Can't innovate anymore, my a**!
What a joke. The iPhone 6, 6s, 7, and 8 all had the same design. Apple was too lazy to redesign them. The iPhone X, Xs, and 11 all have the same design. Apple was too lazy to redesign them. But Apple has the time to design a credit card. That's innovation!
Fun fact, a great credit score can help get great utility rates, not to mention great bank loan rates. Something you will not have if you don't build a credit history which is as easy as getting a CC and simply paying it off in full every month.I dunno it’s hard to get excited over a credit card.
At this point in life I try to stay debt free and not worry about credit scores.
Starbucks used to sell furniture.them getting into the credit card business is like McDonald's now selling lumber. What's next? Mattresses?
I must be missing out on the killer feature. 3% at Apple? Who's excited? If it was 8% I'd take a look...maybe. Seems like a novelty.

Fact is, unless you will never apply for a mortgage, car loan, job, or insurance, credit scores are important. Aside from the obvious loan applications, some companies use them as a barometer of how trustworthy a person is (job or insurance).
Having a credit card is not debt if you pay the balance when due. Doing this using a good reward card, means you reap rewards (cash back, miles, etc) for doing nothing more than following your normal spending pattern using a different more beneficial modus.

Visa doesn’t make credit cards.I’m not sold on Apple CC. Let Apple make computers, let Visa handle Credit cards lol
I have never seen utility rates affected by a credit score. Utility rates are published and I've never seen it broken down by credit score. I suppose they may require a deposit if you have a lousy score but even that I doubt.Fun fact, a great credit score can help get great utility rates, not to mention great bank loan rates. As a credit card user, who cares. There is absolutely nothing special about this card. Even the rewards suck.

Pretty sure you knew what he meant.Visa doesn’t make credit cards.

I've rarely used CC customer service (can do most things online) and never had an issue when I did. Not a fan of AmEx though, esp. the cards with annual fees.Depends alot on how Goldman Sachs handles it. For example, I regularly use American Express because even though their rewards aren't very good, they have consistently good customer service, little ongoing hassle, and ethical billing practices. Completely over waiting on hold for an hour to figure out why my card keeps getting declined to get an extra $15 a year in cash back.
I think I have a Visa one?
[doublepost=1564532849][/doublepost]My bottom line is, I"ll let apple sell me a computer. I'll let American Express handle the bill haha!![]()
I might get this out of pure curiosity. The rewards are absolutely pathetic, but for certain purchases via Apple Pay or at the Apple store it's at least on par with other cards. I am really hoping this is a giant flop so they make the rewards up to par with other cards.
Citi Double Cash better or the same on everything but Apple Store purchaes. Amazon card obliterates it on Amazon purchases. Chase Sapphire Reserve obliterates it on travel and dining. There's really no reason to get this unless you unload cash at the apple store and want to take advantage of the slightly better features than the other cards.
I hope it's a huge flop so they provide rewards that are actually on par with other cards. Then it would dominate.
