If your Apple Card has not been working today, you are not alone. Apple's credit card has been suffering from a widespread outage that has persisted for several hours, according to Apple's system status page.

"Users may not be able to manage their Apple Card, make payments, and may not see recent transactions," the page reads.

Launched in the United States in August 2019, the Apple Card's key features include Wallet app integration with color-coded spending summaries, no fees, and up to three percent cashback on purchases, paid out daily. A physical, titanium Apple Card is also available for use at retail locations that do not accept contactless payments.

Update: Apple's system status page says the outage has been resolved.

Was it getting denied too? Haven't bought anything yesterday or today, but just curious. Honestly, nothing's perfect. I keep two cards, the Apple Card and one other, because you never know when there's something odd going on with a bank, a transaction service, etc.

I placed an order through Best Buy this morning and it was acting strange; almost like the order just kicked me out.

Best Buy shows my order as being processed and customer service says there are no issues, but it's not showing up on Card. I guess I just wait and see.

No, my orders went through successfully (according to the retailers). They're just not showing up on the app.

2 successful purchases today still aren't showing up on the app as of 11:47am Pacific.

I made a payment about 20 minutes ago and it has posted as pending and is showing in the transactions.

A few minutes ago I tried to purchase something with my apple card and wasn't able to. So maybe its a "your mileage may vary" kind of thing.

and here I was thinking I was safe carrying the Apple Card of those rare places that do not accept Amex.

Does this happen with other cards, too? I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like this on my credit cards. I don’t have the Apple one.

Just made a payment to it, it shows as pending but balance didn't go down as it usually does.

EDIT: It showed up 20min later, doesn't seem to be broken

Did you know that Goldman Sachs won’t lower the APR on the card when your credit has improved? This is my highest apr card by far and they won’t even consider lowering it. Seems like something they would want to remain competitive with.

Valid but inconsistent activity showing up in mine. For example, card shows a balance for one of two transactions processed this morning but the transaction itself remains unlisted. The second transaction, which processed a couple of hours earlier than the other, is reflected neither in balance nor on list of transactions. However, earlier today this transaction was the only one showing as a balance and as a pending transaction. But both balance and transaction have disappeared. Hoping they can clear the mess.

Just used my apple card via Apple Pay on my Apple Watch, in 2 separate locations. Both transactions proceeded normally. However nothing shows in the wallet app, as of yet

Maybe an internal bug. But if hackers can hijack a pipeline and the world's largest meat supplier … hmm. Good times!
