Did you know that Goldman Sachs won’t lower the APR on the card when your credit has improved? This is my highest apr card by far and they won’t even consider lowering it. Seems like something they would want to remain competitive with.

I also have zero balance but if something does come up I’m not going to use the high apr card. That’s all I’m saying. My American Express has an insane APR, but I pay everything off on the month, so have never paid a penny in interest. It's the other fees that they rape you with. Foreign currency fees, etc... I've been taken for that fee too many times. It's hard to tell if I've saved any money overtime too. I get 'spot' conversion rates, supposedly, and they are usually better than the inflated rates others charge, but still, sometimes it hurts on small things...
But it's such an honor to carry The Apple Card! Yeah... Hmm... Still can't share the one the wife has. I'm retired, so Goldman can require my credit report, and also require she doesn't have one anymore. It seems more trouble than it's worth. Wish we had it for the IMP we bought, but other than that, *shrug*... There are better cards, there are worse too... If Gringotts had a credit card... But wouldn't that be cool?
The short answer is yes. Both Visa and MasterCard have been DDOS'd before, pretty much any big bank or corporation has as well, often multiple times. None of the companies like to talk about it.Does this happen with other cards, too? I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like this on my credit cards. I don’t have the Apple one.
Mine, too. I think it was just the services that show your transactions and such, but, yup, fixed now.No, my orders went through successfully (according to the retailers). They're just not showing up on the app.
2 successful purchases today still aren't showing up on the app as of 11:47am Pacific.
Are there other cards that provide a service that shows up to the minute transaction details? I would imagine they have similar type outages, but they’re not named Apple, soooooo far less clickworthy.Does this happen with other cards, too? Probably not a good card to revolve on anyways. I always pay my balance so APR is irrelevant to me anyways. If I was to revolve, I would be going for a zero APR card for a year or something or look for other solutions besides a credit card.Did you know that Goldman Sachs won’t lower the APR on the card when your credit has improved? It may be one of those legacy things where having a low APR on a card makes someone “feel” better about the card? I believe there are folks that have low APR’s on this card, but I reckon they’re the folks that would absolutely positively NEVER have an opportunity to explore it’s useProbably not a good card to revolve on anyways. Seems like there is a backlog. My 3 charges just came through 1 and 2 hours later.Even though this is marked as resolved I'm not seeing purchases made after the resolution time in the Wallet App. Maybe there is a big backlog of data they are working their way through?
Same. Some of my charges are still waiting to be applied to the balance interestingly enough. I have a $0.00 balance but at least 3 charges waiting to show.Seems like there is a backlog. My 3 charges just came through 1 and 2 hours later.
The card probably worked fine for making purchases though the article seems to imply that it did not. Apple’s quoted statement at the end says nothing about using the card for purchases. The problem was that you could not manage the card or view recent transactions. It would be the equivalent of logging into Citibank’s website and being told that the website was down for maintenance and to try again later.Does this happen with other cards, too?
