I was at Dick's Sporting Goods looking for two pairs of workout pants. The least expensive (and really flimsy) pair was $80. Even with 10% off, that's $72 for low quality material/construction that's going to fail. So I looked at Adidas as an alternative, and found a nice pair for about $60. Being the skinflint I am, I of course looked to see if Amazon had them, which they did, in more colors, and bought two pairs @ $49, free shipping, and state tax only (We live in Chicago). One black, one blue. When they arrived, the fit was perfect, and I found that they had leg zippers and pocket zippers: BONUS!

Pays to shop around, folks.

Nikes have been working for me for a few years. Looking at what's on sale at the site right now.
I own a number of different running shoes - On, Hoka, Adidas, Saucony...and Nikes just seem to fit my feet and my style of running the best. Iʻll pick up another pair of running shoes with this 10% cash back...and Nike often has a lot of sales going on, too...

Piper Sandler teen survey says you're wrong.

Reebok? 🤣 They're dead. That's why Adidas sold the brand. But who knows, maybe Authenitic Brands can turn the brand around.

People are more interested in Hoka than On Running.
Agree with this. I went to a place that scans your feet and they recommended Hoka Clifton 9s. Very comfortable. I had On Cloud 5s before, but I kept getting holes where my big toes were despite sizing up half a size, and they weren't as supportive.

It's amazing how people can be so sure of themselves without a little fact-checking. A simple online search, like you've done, goes a very long way. We all literally have the world's knowledge at our fingertips. There's no excuse.

Good to see discount on purchase from Nike. Would like to see the availability of Apple Card expand outside US

So I go to the Nike web site and see they have 819 different shoe models for men.

Outside of a dozen golf shoe models, exactly ONE shoe comes in a wide width.

That’s a company that is basically saying to a large group of potential customers, “We really don’t care about you.”*

*That of course is the polite version of what I’d like to write.

So Brooks, New Balance, Adidas, Reebok, etc… thank you for realizing that not all feet will fit into the laced visegrips that Nike calls athletic shoes.

Well damn, I wish I wouldnt have seen this, now I just ordered another pair of Air Force 1's to add to my collection, Ugh!! Spent $125 to get 10% cash back lol.

Just ordered as well and it shows 10%. I’m not a new Apple Card member.

I just used Apple Pay on the Nike app and it did 10% cash back, and I have had the card since the day it launched
Valid 4/25/24 through 5/2/24 (“Offer Period”). All Existing Apple Card holders will earn a total of 10% Daily Cash on up to $500 in total Qualifying Purchases made at Nike using your Apple Card with Apple Pay.

However for new card holders (till May 2), there's an additional $100 offering.

The Nike app says this is for new Apple Card users only (opened between 4/25 - 5/2) but I see no mention of it in the post.
yeah, that kinda sucks...I bought a pair on the nike app last night. was on sale anyway - never buy full price - but I guess I wonʻt get the 10%

Mine is also showing 10% in the Wallet app, now that the purchase has gone through. Interestingly, when I was going through checkout in the Nike app, it did say ‘eligible for 3%’ but I optimistically disregarded that. I am not a Apple Card user…

Nobody wears Nikes like that anymore.

It’s Adidas, New Balance, and then other brands like On Running, Salomon, reebok, Etc.

Hopefully with the MLS deal, Apple lets go of this dead horse and works with Adidas instead.
yikes. it’s all subjective of course, but Nike still makes way better looking sneakers and apparel than those other brands.

I know everyone is trying to be different and rock Hoka, On, alo, New Balance… but Nike is still king.

Nike Sportswear, Nike Pro, ACG, Nike Elite etc.

Again, nobody wears Nikes anymore. Meaning us younger people.

Older people obviously still do.

But younger people wear running shoes or trail shoes. Sambas for example have been the biggest sneaker trend for 2 years now.

Also Adidas’ sneaker from Anthony Edwards(AE1) is the first time I’ve heard of a basketball signature being sold out in the literal sense and not possible to even buy—in my personal experience.

But for me personally, I prefer NB, Salomon, Brooks, ASICS, etc.

Love the smaller brands and most others do too. Nike just isn’t it anymore, it’s just a big corporation that doesn’t do anything interesting.

This may come as a shock, but... not everybody cares what "younger people" like. 😆 Most adults buy what fits well, are most comfortable, and matches their activities in life, long before they care about what their peers are buying or what image it portrays.

Heck, sw1tcher's Piper Teen survey shows even other younger people don't agree with you. 😆 Might want to check those sources next time.

Yeah. I see all kinds of young adults and young kids wearing Nikes. It's one of the top selling shoe brands, and not even by a small margin. This is what happens when you apply limited world experience to actual reality.
