I just bought apple care yesterday and i was with my girlfriend and my bag with MBA dropped down a flight of stairs !!!! It was ok because i got the 1.8GHz SSD Model LUCKY ME !!!!! THANK GOD FOR APPLE CARE 😡🙂🙂

i have a full year to decide whether or not i want apple care? I have full coverage for a full year?

So in other words i could just save up $$$ and buy it at the end of the year?

Yes. This is usually what I do. I don't typically need the phone support. Just remember, AppleCare is NOT accidental damage insurance.

I have the same thing and got concerned because when I went to the Apple site to activate my Apple Care (thinking I could use my order number or something) it asked for an Apple Care number. So I called up Apple and asked. The customer service rep said that the Apple Care package comes a couple weeks after you receive your Macbook Air. No real reason for it, but that's what she told me. Shouldn't be too much of a concern since you're completely covered (Hardware and Software) for the first 90 days. I'm giving it till the end of the month (got my MBA Feb 4, end of the month seems like a good amount of time) and then calling again.

Have called Apple as well: they have confirmed dahcheet feedback. When you buy your MBA with Apple Care at the same time from Apple, the MBA is automatically registered for Apple Care. You receive the certificate a couple of weeks after by mail. But to check, when you receive your MBA, you can go to the Apple Care section of the Apple website, input your MBA serial number and should get confirmation that you are registered.

Have called Apple as well: they have confirmed dahcheet feedback. When you buy your MBA with Apple Care at the same time from Apple, the MBA is automatically registered for Apple Care. You receive the certificate a couple of weeks after by mail. But to check, when you receive your MBA, you can go to the Apple Care section of the Apple website, input your MBA serial number and should get confirmation that you are registered.

Just checked the Apple Care Site and it has my agreement number and everything in there. It's good to have the peace of mind that they know I bought it and that it's registered.

Just an FYI to everyone who ordered their Apple Care with their MBA. I just received my Apple Care CD and information today, two weeks after receiving my Air. So, if you haven't gotten yours yet, it's in the mail.

I would say buy it...i have it on my iMac and I have already bought it for my future macbook pro....get it from eBay for like 30%-50% off....i sell it on eBay sometimes (i'm all out right now though).

AppleCare doesn't cover that, either.

Basically, it covers the cost of parts and labor for any component in your Mac that may fail. Plus, you get phone support for any OS X or any application that came on your MBA.

But accidental damage and theft it does not cover.
