So I had a brand new iphone 5s, until it got clobbered by a bus on my way to class... I left it there cause it was literally destroyed and headed into the apple store and they said I needed to bring in the phone obviously. So I went back and salvaged what I could. Its not much... my question, before I head into the store again, is exactly how much of the phone do you need to present in order to get a replacement device????

Wouldn't it best to call and ask that specific store? I'd imagine it depends on the situation and the manager.

Also, if you have applecare+ you are looking at $79 to replace it. If you do not, you are looking at $279 (I believe) for an OOW repair.
