Yeah, I have a question about applecare... I recently tripped over my ethernet cable, and I need to send my macbook in to applecare to get the pins re-sodered. I was just wondering, If anyone knew, Do they wipe or look at your data when you send it in? Basicly what i'm asking is do I have to back my computer up. Also, will they take it if I have 3rd party RAM in it?

Thanks

Always back up your data before sending it in for repair. You never know what'll that have to end up doing to it.

They will take it with third-party RAM inside if it's not a problem involving the RAM. But it's still usually best to remove any third-party RAM to help in any diagnosis and prevent any problems if they have to replace other things.
