A whole thread just to say my case shipped?

How long does it take to arrive after shipping?

Just got shipment notification via email, apparently it went out on the 24th though (yesterday, Tuesday). They said it will be here September 1st. If so, too bad I'm leaving town for months as of Tuesday, the 31st.

Oh well, already have Geometric and just bought a white Incase slider (awesome).

Well, I got my notification email last Sat morning which was the 21st. Got it today which is about three full business days after it was shipped if we don't include Sunday.

I live in SoCal and the package was sent from Mira Loma, CA.

Tuesday I had the:
Ships - Sept. 3
Arrives - Sept. 8

Then Wednesday I got the email saying it shipped and will arrive the 1st.:)

My package has gone from Tennessee to Georgia and has now been sitting there for 48 hours...

Three days now that it hasn't moved. I really wish USPS would fold already.

I received my e-mail on Wednesday and my package has been in Rutherford, NJ for a full day. I wonder when it'll come to NYC. I hate DHL and USPS! I had no idea Apple used DHL.

Thought mine was stuck in Georgia also, but then I entered my tracking number in just now to USPS.com to discover it was in my mailbox.

Mine had to go from TN to FL.

got mine yesterday, just put it on this morning. its ok. not a fan of cases but for a free case i am pleased to have this for when i feel the need to use one. Not a fan of how hard the rubber is, it almost feels like hard plastic (which i do not like for cases). I prefer a slightly tackier feel (but harder then silicone) so that it doesn't slide off anything it is set on so easily. Also, the power button on top requires a lot of force to press. Seems like a very easily noticed flaw that should have been caught in their testing process and fixed before they started mass producing them.

Then, apparently, this Georgia sorting facility is ran by idiots! ;) Thanks for the heads up.

The material is a lot harder compared to the GeoMetric and the buttons are stiffer. I was kind of hoping it would of been the exact same material as the GeoMetric but I guess not. Still a very nice case but I'd rather use the GeoMetric when I need a "full body" case and the SGP carbon back + Apple bumper otherwise.

EDIT: I was being nice above but after the excursion I just took trying to get it out this thing is a piece of crap compared to other speck cases. I'm calling Apple to have this changed asap.

Looking like Speck switched to a cheaper material. I will hold judgement until i get mine, but if it is mines going on ebay if i cant exchange it. Hate when companies do the dirty on their customers like this. Wont be buying Speck stuff again, like to be sure i know what i am getting.

Mine shipped last night finally. Ordered the day of.

How do you know they switched materials for this case? It's no longer TPU?

Because the new cases feel like crap. They are almost as hard as plastic itself and the buttons need an absurd amount of pressure to work.

I have a GeoMetric made of the old material and now an HD made of the new garbage and thats the only way you can truly notice the difference. I've been using Speck for a long time and for them to do this to us was completely uncalled for.

I really wonder how much $$$ they saved by switching materials.

Maybe they just thought a tighter fit in addition to the new cam cutout would be the way to go (because the other cases have slight wiggling) without actually testing it out. Who knows.

searched for pixelskin hd sorted by date, found this video:

He has an older one with the keyhole cutout. Looks like apple packaging in the background there for the free case, and uploaded 2 hours ago. I hope my earlier prediction of mix matching new and old for the apple program is right.

Fingers crossed, but I think NGP matte will be my main toy anyways.

He specifically says later in the video that he bought it on eBay.
