After receiving and using my Apple Card over the last few weeks and receiving daily cash, I was prompted to verify my Apple Cash account. I entered the required information, but the verification failed and my Apple Cash account locked. I called support, was transferred to Apple's Apple Cash "partner" (Green Dot?) and was told to close and reopen the account. I did, and when the account was "renewed," I was asked to verify. Same result. A case was opened, but I never received a callback. When I called in for a follow-up, I was connected to an Apple Cash supervisor and told my Apple Cash was locked, and they were not able to unlock. No Apple Cash for me. No explanation or recourse. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Yes this also happened to me but I was restricted. I went through the same procedure that you did doing a identity verification and no explanation given by Green Dot for the restriction. I have a good credit rating. I use my daily cash reward towards paying off my Apple statement.

So you're also "forever" locked out of Apple Cash too? My card still shows as restricted in my Wallet app, but Green Dot won't resolve it. I'm in PA and my license has my middle initial and suffix on the first name line. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Thanks for the reply.
