The free market is always more moral than big government's heavy hand of regulation.

I love that you've managed to condense that entire cult into a single sentence.

Apple's initiatives toward environmental responsibility are interesting to watch develop. In manufacturing, this stuff generally only happens in those rare instances when companies end up with a hippie at the helm, or in Apples case, when they don't own the production company, and can simply place these demands on your manufacturing partners with the leverage of the contract & see how far they'll go.

Ziggy Marley is OK, but WT* does he have to do with environmentalism or sustainable living?

The Marleys, all the way back to Bob and Rita have always advocated on behalf of the environment and natural living (listen to the lyrics of "Natural Mystic"). Ziggy supports those efforts via his URGE Foundation:

U.R.G.E. acts to support education, health, the environment, in efforts to ‘improve the communities where children live and grow as they are our future’s unlimited resource. The more we can give to them, the more enlightened we can become.

He's also supported (financially and with appearances) the partnership between the Jamaica Environment Trust & Patagonia for environmental efforts in Jamaica.

And given Apple's efforts with (PRODUCT)RED, Ziggy Marley is a perfect fit with the company as he's also supported efforts to end HIV/AIDS via various charitable programs.

If Apple REALLY cared about the Earth, they would immediately shut the company down and cease all activity. That would be the best possible thing they could do for the environment.
And put those billions to work with planting trees :). Make the products not only recyclable but upgradable too. No more glued computers or iPads.

Every child should be able to get good education and healthcare. But also the parents should be educated to not have more then two children (is my opinion).

OK - I have no idea what 'natural living' is, so I wonder how much of this is platitudes, but if he genuinely supports sustainable living then it's fine.

natural living = living naturally. No chemicals, no GMOs. Limited meds as they're intrusive in large quantities (think antibiotics), etc.

What's wrong with this picture? You admit to having no clue what "natural living" is, but then turn around and in the same breath wonder if he's faking it. Huh??

Platitude: something said so vacuously that it does not have much meaning. That's not the same as faking.

My point is that it is far from clear what is 'natural' for a human. We all depend on technology, tools, culture etc. That specifically includes this of us who post in this forum. Eschewing technology, avoiding GMO, being vegan etc. are valid lifestyle choices, but they are no more 'natural' than using a car. Indeed music depends on a host pf relatively modern inventions.

Oh, if you mean natural as in rejecting modern technology, then 'natural' = early death by disease, starvation, or predation.
