well, history has clearly shown that the AW loses value very rapidly ...
My S4 keeps going strong!

Like. Why this convuluted business? Just reduce the prices of the watches $10 or $20.
Because Apple never reduces their prices. You’ll pay the same amount on launch day as you would the day it is pulled. The only exception to this is when they launch a replacement but keep the previous model around for a year or two.

I am using my Apple devices until they have no value then keep them as collectors items.
I would like to keep my S1 as a collector's item as well, but I'm worried about the battery. PSP batteries older than a decade have begun to swell and burst. What are the chances something like that would happen with an Apple Watch?

Not much trade in value but, it is better than nothing for people that rather trade in, than take a chance selling and getting taken advantage of.

Edited to add: I would like to see heart health related ads from Apple. Heart disease is something people need to be made aware of and encouraged to keep focused on.

I have a Series 2 (aluminum, 42mm, Space Gray) I've been meaning to upgrade from. In the middle of a pandemic, I'm a bit sketch about selling locally and selling online usually includes fees. Plus from what I see, the going rate online is about right, minus fees, it probably evens out to about the same $80. I'll prob just cash-in on this offer. Unless anyone can point me to someone better for my specific case?

Come to think of it, what would be fun is, if you take advantage of the Heart Month trade-in rates, you get an exclusive watch face! While they don't do anything for me personally, I know a lot of people love their exclusive watch faces and the like. That would be a really fun thing if Apple were to do it.

That is a great idea.

The watches generally go on sale with nice discounts around mid to late March. Keep the watch you have as a backup and get a new one at close to "trade in" price difference.

Would it really be so hard for them to have an actual sale (as in just lower the price for a few days)? They must think it "cheapens" the brand to have sales.

And the eventual refurbished models

Not as generous as Samsung's trade in offer of $550 for iPhone Xs or $400 with cracked screen vs Apple's $270 and no crack screen option.

Hmm was considering swapping my S4 to the new S6. Anyone have both and can let me know if the difference is worth the upgrade?

Just received an email, T-Mobile is offering buy one watch get $200 off on a second watch.

I started the trade-in for my S4 to an S6 in January. I was offered $150 (better than dealing with the hassle of a private sale or eBay auction, IMO), and was pleasantly surprised to see today that they gave me credit of $162.75. I have no idea how or why they gave me an extra $12.75. That's a weird amount, right?

Here you go. You do need 250 posts and six months on the forum before you can access it though.
Bahhh. I have been here 13 years but only have 150+ posts. I wish I knew this existed, as I have 2 MacBook Pros to sell. Would so prefer to sell to someone who would appreciate their condition rather than some weirdo on eBay. Posting spree it is, then! LOL.

For the +1 I agree! 😉
