Silver 64GB are in plentiful supply at local stores. Most received no 256GB models, and the Space Grey 64GB also sold out rapidly.
So people in China have mid-life crises too? Good to know.
No big deal man. It’s a site all things Apple pretty much so the bias is going to be there. U go to somewhere like avsforum which is all home theatre and such. Same thing there. I have people waiting on the next lg oled or oppo 4K player. When someone gets one others are happy for them. Ya deff won’t here that in the real world but on a dedicated site and thread. Ya you will. No harm. People are just excited and all. It’s all Good I feel. Not picking on you in particular, but why congratulate someone for choosing to buy something? I see this a lot with regards to the iPhone. I don't hear people congratulating someone when they buy a new refrigerator or a TV. New toaster? Congratulations!! People somehow relate new iPhone owners with lottery winners or those couples having a baby or getting married, graduating college or some other positive life changing event. Is choosing to spend >$1000 on the iPhone worthy of congratulations?![]()
View attachment 731437 Oh gosh, there’s a new feature (new to me at least) on the UPS site where you can track your driver. Guess who’ll spend her work day refreshing this page?
As such as people like to diss others who wait in line, I always find it fun looking at the photos. Everyone always looks so happy.
I lined up once for the iPhone 4 launch, we had so much fun. If I could have afforded this phone it would have been a fun launch.
And, apparently everyone was waiting for the X instead of the 8. Apple's revenue is going to be bananas on these. Once the shareholders get a taste for blood, can't see the XS/X1 going for $200 less next year...
People who make fun of others who wait in line have self-esteem issues... it makes them feel better/superior in some way. It's sad, actually.
It looks like it’s still there but blue. Weird. This is going to sound strange but the phone looks weird to me without the notch.Poof. I think my head just exploded.
I resampled it up to 24 x 16 inches, and it looks (at 100% zoom) to me like a cloning brush was used to paint over the notch, but not at 100 % opacity, so the area is greyish, which would be the black notch showing through slightly. So it was photoshopped, but not very well. I don't see a design issue with the notch myself, so why disguise it?
I’m a little concerned how beat up the box is in that pre-order delivery in the last photo! Lol.![]()

I’m congratulating him on successfully acquiring something he was looking forward to having that can be hard to get on launch day. And I do congratulate friends and family when they get new toasters and TVs. I grew up on the cusp of poor in a poor neighborhood where families even worse off than mine had very little. My mom came up from ragged poverty that was so bad her younger brothers almost went blind from malnutrition during a period spent as war refugees and their stories made a huge impression on me, growing up. So there is in my psyche an innate sense of gratitude and celebration for anything that goes even remotely well, even if it’s for someone else. Heck, especially for someone else. When you’re happy for someone else, it lifts up your own spirit up twofold, I think.
So whenever someone gets something nice, especially when the circumstances are unexpected but welcome, we celebrate. I tend to celebrate anything good, positive, fun. I’m NOT getting an iPhone X for myself today. My husband is, it’s his birthday present. I’m happy for him, too.
Yes this is a celebration of material gain, but we celebrate spiritual things in my family, too. When I depart this earth someday, I hope one thing I leave behind for people to remember me by is that I lived my life in gratitude and appreciation for every blessing, and even every lesson.
That photo of the line in NY just freaks me out. Why go through that when you can just chill at home in your jammies and wait for UPS? And what are the bathroom logistics?
I'm 54 next week. Don't know this guy, but I love him! Is this a sign of mid-life crisis? If so, I'm in! I don't know...to me he just looks like someone who's enjoying life.
