The exciting life of a CEO 🤣 I've always wondered what these people do with their gifts, do they proudly display them in a room in their house... or rent a cheap storage locker filled with trash bags lol
You don’t have to be a CEO to receive gifts in China… it is a very common thing when you are a guest in China to exchange gifts. But of course the level of the gift reflects your status. Last time I gave them to the hotel staff, because it was edible and I didn’t have enough time to consume it before my flight.

The lighting on Tim's face makes it look like he's transforming into Palpatine.

...coincidence? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He could save others from Labubu but not himself

I didn't just mean in China, everywhere these people go they seem to get gifts 🤣

Here are mine to really trigger everyone on here that knows no fun. 5 more have joined since taking this picture. It's also part of my early midlife crisis. Maybe.

I'm getting Beanie Baby vibes...

I have never seen one of these in person and I work at a University with a million students around. The kids (teens) don't know or care anything about them. Where are they popular?

In the UK, it's common to see young adults walking around with the smaller versions of these attached to their backpacks.

Do people really want to walk around looking like a kid carrying their backpack to their first day at school?

I guess the answer to that is 'yes'.

The character is from a children book from 2015 and they got popular last year, when a K-Pop artist was wearing one on their purse. As someone with more than 50+ it's more like a gambling addiction (sadly I am not even kidding) like with those blind boxes you never know what you will get or when they release new ones online, they usually sell out in SECONDS and it gives you such a rush and thrill to "make it", it can't even be explained to a normal rational person haha when the first Pop Mart store opened in July here, I waited 7 hours in line

Labubu even looks like Tim. Probably sold it to him for 'just $7999' for the small one and just $749000 for the big one, to match his budget. It's amaaaaaazingly fluffy.

I don’t know… The whole business model of this doll is greedy and just producing waste. I’d never humiliate myself like this and betray the product philosophy I condone. I’ve been a true Apple fan (in the true tech savvy IT loving sense of the phrase) since the early 90s and these kind of things doesn’t resonate with me at all. I acknowledge the importance of supply chain management and holding the operative part of a huge company like Apple together but to say I miss Steve Jobs so much is underselling it.

I think I'm doing a good job of "getting old and staying in my lane".

Up until about a month ago I had absolutely knowledge whatsoever of "labubu".

Probably has a spy camera and microphone in it to spy on cook in his office
To gain what exactly? His top secret discussions and analysis on price tiers to extract maximum short term profit from his customers? Or the secrets to create a $3500 screen on head no one bought? Or is it to gain insight into the amazing Apple Car? I am sure the Chinese has no good EV techs and are desperate to steal the Apple Car….
