I mean he is head of state of the UK so pretty important given that the UK is one of the top 7 economies in the world.Remind me again why anyone cares about this "royal" family?
They represent a bloodline that goes back over 1000 years*. Its a living link to our shared history on both sides of the atlantic. They royal family costs the average taxpayer £1.29 per annum, hardly enough to buy a bar of chocolate. They bring in a net £2bn in tourism annually.Remind me again why anyone cares about this "royal" family?
Just don’t touch the water.Take the Uber Boat / Thames Clippers from Canary wharf to Battersea on a nice day - I recommend it

*Some Pedant will point out that the current dynasty started when William the Conquerer planted his flag after the Battle of Hastings in 1066, however the current house is simultaneously descended from Harold Godwinson who lost. His lineage goes back even further to the House of Wessex (865 or further)
King Charles is not merely the "elite," he's the actual monarch. If you're doing business in London, you cater to the King, period.Tim should prioritize investing in quality control and getting his affairs in order, rather than focusing on catering to the elite.

We need the money ..... from American tourists!Remind me again why anyone cares about this "royal" family?
Right. Queen of Sparta.
Yes it’s meaningless but you haven’t taken into account marrying cousins. 😂He's head of the state for the UK, which is enough.
The bloodline bit doesn't interest me, though, at all, and I can't see any point in bloodline succession..I never really could understand why it matters what your DNA tracks back to, other for novelty and scientific reasons. It's diluted 50% every generation, anyway. After 1000 years (or ~40 generations), the genetic connection is miniscule... much, much less than 1% (9.09*10^-11%). End rant.
Still, very expensive. At least the engraving was free.Sadly it was the base model plaque, with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
Base models come with 16GB now!Sadly it was the base model plaque, with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
I laugh at their 1000 years. (I can trace mine back twice that.)They represent a bloodline that goes back over 1000 years*. Its a living link to our shared history on both sides of the atlantic.
For some reason you don’t think they are taking video or photographs, then checking them? What a sad world this has become after June 29, 2007. People attending events, and then not participating, instead looking at their smartphone.
All families go back 1000s of years. Them bringing tourism still doesn't answer WHY people care to begin with? For me personally, they could disappear from the face of the planet and I'd never know or care where they went. They represent a bloodline that goes back over 1000 years*. Really? So ensuring that his company has a strong relationship with the government of the UK, and warm publicity with British citizens… is unimportant? Maybe that’s why you aren’t a CEO.Tim should prioritize investing in quality control and getting his affairs in order, rather than focusing on catering to the elite.
Being in the same job for a thousand years is pretty impressive. All families go back 1000s of years. Them bringing tourism still doesn't answer WHY people care to begin with? For me personally, they could disappear from the face of the planet and I'd never know or care where they went.
