Well said by a zealot.

Let’s just get rid of all 3rd party app support. After all, Apple is only successful because of their 1st party apps

More than you know. More than you know.

Apple is laying the groundwork for saying that it has the only business model that can truly claim to be privacy-focused since they don’t want (or need) data to build user profiles with the eventual goal of making money.

In the coming years, I foresee a growing number of Apple users moving over to Apple’s own apps and services because of data privacy implications.

What does your response have anything remotely to do with the quoted post?

I think his point is that if Apple truly cared for users as much as they claim they did, a lot of the features we are seeing now would have been implemented that much sooner.

Which I feel is BS. At any one time, I believe there are a ton of bug fixes and new software features the software team has to see to, so everything likely has a priority number. We know that many of the features in iOS 13 were likely delayed by a year due to iOS 12 focusing on performance improvements.

Rather than bemoan that the feature is only coming now, let’s be glad that we even have it and will be able to benefit from it moving forward.
