Give me a break. He's more interested in getting invites to all the MAGA parties and lining his pockets with cheap labor. And then increasing prices for consumers for even more profits.

Just because Apple hasn't abused the H1B program to the degree Microsoft and Google have doesn't mean they haven't abused it.

True. I am an immigrant, did everything right, waited for all the documentation, paid lots of money for it, got my Green card, paid my state/federal taxes, then years later got naturalized. I don't have a lot of sympathy for illegals. With that said, I am supportive of people who live in the country for decades to get a chance to regularize their situation if they are upstanding contributors to the system and assimilated to the culture and pay back the taxes they owed. It comes down to looking at every single case, which is a long and difficult process.
With that said, I don't see the government going after the corporations who hired these folks, took advantage of them because where the big money is, people look the other way. A lot of hypocrisy around for sure.

Undocumented usually refers to someone who entered the U.S. legally, such as through a work visa and overstayed or someone seeking asylum.
Illegal refers to someone who entered the country unlawfully/without permission.
Someone remind me how many boarder hopping, job stealing illegals does Apple proudly have working for them again?
Tim Cook should stay out of these issues and focus on eliminating the use of slavery and worker exploitation in his own supply chain.

I suspect the anger among Apple employees, particularly after his attending of the movie screening, necessitated this.
I actually don't doubt that those are his beliefs, but he can't have his cake and eat it too. If he's going to cozy up to the administration, even if he thinks he's doing so to "protect Apple" then he needs to take the heat. All this does is make him look two-faced.
And this is coming from someone who thinks Cook is a good CEO, has been good for Apple, and has defended him repeatedly on MacRumors the years.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Billionaires and CEOs of companies do not need to be involved in politics trying to influence policy.
Frankly, in this current environment doesn’t really seem to do much good anyway…

Selling phones implies creating them, and obviously your employees have a heavy impact on that. It’s the same with other political topics, I don’t understand opinions like “why do they focus on fighting regulation”.

No. He was in the Epstein files, which MacRumors is not reporting about. I don't know why. Tim only does what's trendy. God only knows what he did on the island.
I'm pretty sure our current Administration doesn't speak that lingo and wouldn't understand, sadly...
