He also passed the Great Society which destroyed the nuclear family. Blacks went from 28% born out of wedlock to 70%. LBJ was explicit that he wanted Blacks to be dependent on government support so that they would have to vote Democratic permanently to keep the benefits.
Great Society destroyed the nuclear family? LOL. Medicaid destroyed the nuclear family? Medicare too? Food stamps?

The rest of your comment is absolute and utter BS, and I wish the mods allowed us to say the full curse word.

Agreed totally.
Cook had a chance to stand out and stand up and be “for something”.

To me he showed his colors.
Add Bezos to that list. When the inevitable fall happens either in 2026 and/or 2028, it’ll be very interesting to see if these companies suddenly bring back DEI initiatives or if they try something different.

And before anyone jumps me, I’m aware Democrats are unpopular. But frankly, Trump has yet to have a reputable poll have him over 50% and Congress’s approval rating is around 30%. Generic Congressional Ballot polls have Democrats favored to win back Congress in 2026 unless something changes. So, a backlash will happen.

This is precisely how you get someone like Trump in power, by a large contingent of the population tuning out unless/until it affects them personally. That stance is incredibly selfish.
Let me ask you this. Is the current administration looking out for your interest? It sure as hell ain't looking out for mine. That was why I voted for Kamala last year. The past few months has been a **** storm and getting worse. Has what's happening disrupted your daily life?
You vote for into office whomever closely aligns with your ideal. That Florida Man is the exact opposite of everything I believe in and stand for.
Trump got voted into office in spite of mine and nearly half the American voters. The MAGA idiots out numbered us.😢

Two: How about his two immediate predecessors who routinely ignored the Constitution and did end-arounds of the USSC?
Give us some of those instances were Joe or Barry ignored the Constitution.

Let me cite how Trump is ignoring the Constitution. He is denying people the 6th amendment rights: right to a trial. Brown and black people are being incarcerated and deported willy-nilly. No trial at all.

Ok easily done.

Biden: Was explicitly told by the USSC that "forgiving" student loan debt was unconstitutional and when told that completely ignored them and did it anyway.

Tried to force nearly 100 million Americans to get an untested, unproven vaccine or risk their jobs. Thankfully this was only stopped when a number of places sued him to prevent it.

Secondly, I don't care about criminal illegal aliens and their so-called rights. They can kick rocks afaic.

We are, in fact, a democracy. We are not a direct democracy, but obviously that is not what I, or anyone else in this millennium, are referring to.

You may recall many US presidents talking about spreading democracy etc.
We are, in fact, not a democracy. We are a representative republic.

In 1964 the average Black child had at 28% chance of being born out of wedlock. Now it’s 70%.

We are a republic sure. We are also a federation. Our government has many attributes.

No one calling it a democracy means a direct democracy, or whatever it is you think is being meant. We all understand the representative, constitutional, and other elements.

Also, I realize I didn’t respond to the second part of your comment. I’m not a democrat, I’m an anti-authoritarian. I recognize the pattern of increasing presidential power over quite a long stretch of time, and I am not in favor of any of it.

Biden stop his broad based loan forgiveness when the Court said he over stepped his authority. The student loans he forgave was done through government programs that existed before he took office.

And this goes against what part of the Constitution? He was trying to contain the COVID outbreak the Orange Idiot nothing about. We got COVID under control under Biden's watch.

Someone who cannot be reasoned with. I guess it's time for me to bow out of this debate.

$3500 base iPhone says hello.

LBJ was a racist who deliberately wanted the Black race to become dependent upon the Democrat party.
You have absolutely zero proof to your claim, and in fact… removing entitlements from the poorest makes them more desperate, including falling into crime. Study after study has shown that to be fact. It’s the exact same when you cut education funding.

But hey, rip out Medicaid in order to pay for your tax cuts for the rich. Maybe some of that will “trickle down” to the aforementioned Black population by 2035.

The current administration is looking out for the interests of Trump, of the wealthiest 0.1% of Americans, and possibly for the interests of foreign people who have sway over him (like his good friend Putin, or the folks who gave him a $400 million toy play that's going to cost much more than that to tear down and rebuild as an Air Force One - it's the largest bribe a sitting president has ever gotten, and it's out in the open).

I voted for Kamala as well. I would have voted for an inanimate carbon rod (thanks Futurama), if it would have had a higher chance of keeping Dear Leader out of office (though, for the record, I think Kamala would have made a fantastic president - in one possible scenario, she might still, in 2028). Trump got voted into office with less than 50% of the actual vote.

MAGA certainly made their voices heard, along with the "I'll vote GOP until the day I die" folks, certainly, but the bit that pushed it over the top were the people who decided to stay home as a protest, or voted for a third party candidate as a protest. And you were the one who said, "I don't care who is running the country so long as my daily life isn't disrupted." My point is, that attitude, "I'm just going to be under this rock until it affects me", is part of why we got to here (perhaps it doesn't read the way you meant it). If we had more people who weren't checked out, who paid attention to real news sources, and followed along with what's been going on, rather than getting tidbits from this or that FaceBook/TikTok post, we wouldn't be where we are now.

Those who voted 3rd Party or abstained in protest must have been living under a rock, in a cave, during 45's administration.😑 Rampant COVID, anti-vaxxers and racists coming out of the wood work, the Orange Idiot constantly on TV spreading misinformation. How did they not notice that? I didn't want 4 more years of that which was why I voted Biden and after that, Kamala.

I'll admit I voted 3rd Party when I was the Orange Idiot ran against the war monger, Killary Clinton. I was so mad that Dem snubbed Bernie. I never thought Florida Man would win, TBH. Neither Hillary's nor Trump's agenda aligned with my ideals.
