Tim Cook's political influence is massive worldwide and I could easily see him positioning himself to run for President in the next election cycle or the one after.

Because you can’t imagine why is the reason he’s CEO of Apple and you’re not :D.

Stevel balmer was also CEO of microsoft when he tanked it.

Personally, I don't care for dongles, or one type port laptops, or new iphones that have tech from 6 years ago (Qi).
Sometimes those in powers are the biggest fools....

Actually, Microsoft didn’t tank under balmer and was extremely profitable. It earned more profit under him than before hand as baller saw its financial growth

But he wasn’t a products guy, and it eventually caught up to him when thenwell ran dry and Microsoft realized to keep relevant again, they needed a product guy back at the helm.

Kind of sounds familiar.

yup, actually, I have made that point on here lots regarding Microsoft's most profitable years were under balmer. Short term gain at long term expense :(

People always say Tim is doing so great, most profitable Apple has been ever.. But all I see are crappier products that cost more, and all my colleagues and friends now have androids and message through what's App

This thread is ripe for a French bedroom farce comment but I'll avoid being that person and let someone else make a tasteless comment.

This is probably due to France pushing back against all foreign business and encouraging inner-France business. The French have a history of being tough on foreign companies, even if their own are behind the times. This might be about Apple investing in France for the long term. A major problem Europe and Eurasia is suffering from is brain drain. Which is sad because Europe and Eurasia are home to some of the world's best institutes. These bright minds travel to countries like the US or Canada (this is more common under Trump) and set their life there. A better salary than back home, too.
