I am on tenterhooks waiting to hear if he will declare that at Apple they believe privacy is a fundamental human right.
Whether privacy is a fundamental human right or not depends on where you live. If you're in China, Belarus, Colombia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkmenistan, Uganda, or the Philippines, you're SOL.

This joker has no business speaking anywhere, and no ground to stand on where privacy is concerned, after trying to sneak spyware in to iOS.

Pound sand Tim

And also caving to the powers that be (FBI etc) regarding end to end, key on device encryption. Encrypt everything and you will be going a long way to protecting people's privacy. Don't encrypt and you are showing your true colors and motives.

Civilization requires privacy, otherwise you have the rule of savages.

His favorite song must be Michael Jackson’s ’Privacy’. Either way, I think Apple is doing an excellent job on the subject. It’s nice to not have Facebook follow me around the web anymore.

Facebook and other websites are still able to track you, don't be so innocent.

Also, let's remember that Facebook USED TO BE PART OF iOS, it came baked into the settings, Apple only removed it a few years ago.

He’s a great ceo,but a truly abysmal frontman

Tim belongs in the back room fiddling the figures , put someone up front with real charisma like Craig

Craig does a lot better than Tim in interviews and video presentations, but he comes across as very insincere, watch Marques's interview with him and you can see how he doesn't even try to hide the sentiment of lying.

So Cook needs to inspire you in someway? If so, how? Be specific.

I could make the counter argument that I think he is inspiring, he’s led Apple to heights that Steve Jobs never did, and positioned Apple as a whole to be financially successful with over 36,000 employees during a global crisis over the last two years.

Yeah, I call that ‘inspiring’ in terms of being the leader that he is just as one example.
Glorification of CEOs should not be done on the basis of revenue or profits. Any number of people could've presided over Apple's recent growth. Jobs was a visionary. Tim is not. He's a suit that runs a successful business. Nothing unique or inspiring there.

He's so uninspiring. at least Jobs had a persona you could cling to.

You judge by the wrong metric.

Instead of judging him by his successful works, you judge him as one desirous of worshiping a cult of personality would do.

Additionally, it shouldn’t be forgotten that SJ could have selected literally anybody to replace him. SJ chose TC. That’s good enough for me.

Poor Steve was full of carrot juice and meds so his judgement was way out of whack.

Tim's privacy speech will be a 30 minute comedy short on Apple TV+ to tide viewers over until the next season of Ted Lasso starts...

Which interview with Brownlee are you referring to? I’m just interested in watching it, Being I’m sure I would agree with you.

Maybe Tim Cook was the best person available at the time for the job. It's not as if Steve Jobs knew he was going to die at such an early age.

Don't forget that Steve Jobs was also the one who brought on John Sculley 🤣 and look how that turned out.
