Looks like a Moto Z4. Maybe he wants to rid of the audio jack and go with a bigger notch. Someone at Apple forgot coffee when approving that picture.

Yes that is the new moto he is taking pic with, trolls will be all out in force on this one

New Mac Pro in rack mount config. Or Mac mini, depending on how much power you need.

New Mac Pro.

New (rumoured) 16" MacBook Pro.
New devices labeled as "Pro" doesn't make them Pro.

MacBook Pro - Soldered on storage, no upgradeability.
Mac Pro - Poor design (though the new one is nicer)
iMac Pro - Well just go watch Linus' story on trying to get his iMac Pro repaired by Apple. He understood any repair could not be done under warranty because he took it apart, but they flat out refused to even provide a repair at cost to him.

Standing in line now. My fault as I accidentally ordered from 5th ave store instead of WTC which is closer to the office. Total mess up here now, no point in having a “pick up time” as they are hopelessly behind. Been in line for an hour already and not even half way there.

Tristan: Alexa, what time does the Apple store open today?
Mom: Aren’t you going to the climate change protest?
Tristan: Nah, I wanna get a selfie with Tim Cook!
Earth: F**K.

Pick up time usually requires some waiting on day one, but I didn't think you could be stuck there for more than an hour. I've seen queues of about 10 or 20 people in the past for pick up and that's reasonable

waiting forever for the next version of Android (‘if’ he even gets it)

This is one thing that Apple DEFINITELY got right. Directly distributing the iOS updates to users is a huge benefit.

Even on flagship Android devices it is more like
  1. new version is released
  2. phone manufacturer "customizes" it to work on each device
  3. cell carrier "customizes" it to... have garbage apps on it
  4. ... maybe the update is available eventually?
Don't think I've ever gotten more than 1 major upgrade of Android per device.

I’ve said it before, but I think it’s absolutely respectable that Tim Cook typically meets with his customer fan base when new products launch like this, and it shows that he can be ‘down to earth’ and not just be some CEO that we only hear about. Of all the Snark that others use against him on the Internet, I truly would like to meet him, as I have a lot of respect for him not just as a CEO, but as a person as well.

This is still in front of me, line is equally as long behind on the main plaza and then around the building on the side. Crazy😱

Yes, a Pro sign. Because nothing says Pro like wasting your time waiting in line to buy the "latest and greatest" product that has marginal improvements, while completely abandoning their "Pros" in all their product lines from servers, to desktops, to laptops.

What's not Pro about the current MacBook Pro?

What's not Pro about the current MacBook Pro?

Soldered on storage.
Soldered on RAM (more common with thin/light laptops but replaceable ram is still offered on many Pro laptops)
Keyboard failure.
Touchbar.
No ports.
Backlight issues.

IMO the only Pro features are the display, unibody design, the performance, and the price.

That is the pre reserved phone line, insane. They are trying to balance it out between people with a reservation and people who just showed up but the ratio is about 15 to 40 in favor of people WITHOUT reservations. Guess apple figures pre reserved phone are suckers who will pay either way! No bathrooms, no water or candy to hand out to people waiting hours past their pick up window...

I'll disagree with you on all of that, except Soldered on RAM (and even there I don't have a huge problem. I more have a problem with the fact that 8GB is the default configuration on the MacBook Pro and you can't buy a 16GB in the store (in an otherwise-base config) and walk out with it.)
I think most pros want the laptop to be lighter, thinner, and portable as long as it can perform well. They'll deal with the Thunderbolt 3 ports to connect everything (power, video, network, peripherals, etc.) because it keeps everything neat and clean.

Yup, I said "Later gator" and went on chat to cancel. Pony don't stand in line for no weak upgrade with a crap intel modem.

Damn some people are so sour that they're not getting the Pro.
