I wonder if the reason they're doing this is because the cables might not be reliable in the long run, as are more third-party/iffy Lightning cables?

Apple Certified 6ft lightning cable deal on amazon (2 for $10

you sure its really APPLE CERTIFIED???

Yes I am sure. I'm getting 2 of them in 2 days for review from AYL. Amazon requires proof that it is certified in the first place before you can say it is on the listing.

It's $20 for 2. The company said it is for a limited time. I don't work for them. I'm just promoting it because it is such a great price!

The original deal (date when OP posted) was 2 cables for only $9.99. I got them at that price. BTW, great cables. Aside from being certified, the cable is much thicker than Apple's cables, longer (6 feet), and build quality is excellent.

Received mine today. They are nice sturdy cables. However they do not fit the charge port on the Lifeproof Fre for iPhone 5. I might try and "shave" down the plastic on the lightning end and see if I get it to fit the charge port.
