My god, I thought for sure you were kidding until I looked it up... When did it come to mind that they needed the iTunes guy on their board? I'm convinced Cue is just one of those people who is a born schmoozer, but I just can't see what value he's adding at the end of the day.
Ive on the board would makes sense, actually, but CEO seems weird.
Of course, I don't think Ferrari operates by normal business rules. After the pressure cooker of Apple, running Ferrari would probably just be a part time job.

I don’t think Ive wants to do anything outside of the design process, maybe he’s being considered for head of design or something but definitely not CEO.
If there’s any truth to this, it would certainly continue Ive’s recent evolution toward designing impractical luxury goods.
Jonny Ive will remove the seats to make the car thinner then tell us they’re out of date peripherals anyway.
