Apple changed imac harddrive

Apple just changed a brand new imac for me, it is a week 50 one so it has the leopard picture on the box. I found out that apple changed the hard drive brand from western digital to hitachi(320GB). Don't know why?😕

This sort of thing happens all the time. The main reason is probably cost. The Hitachis probably cost Apple less than the WDs.

Thats good. I've never liked WD drives.
