You can tell that Steve Jobs is back. "The first thing we are going to do is eliminate that space."

It's because 3GS is quite similar in form to the number 365. This happens to be the number of days the phone will last before being superceded.

    Says where? As far as I'm concerned, it's neither 3G S nor 3GS, but 3G S⃣.

Nah, it's because the damn network is so slow the 3G caught up with the S.

Why? That looks nothing like the logo. If anything it would be 3G.

I didn't understand why the space between.

3GS looks more natural. Or, 3G-S is fine as well.

I assume you're on a PC and don't see the S inside of a square because of the PC's lackluster font support...

I would assume it is because of search results. "iPhone 3G S" and "iPhone 3GS" are likely going to return much different search results in google. By connecting the entire name, it helps to ensure that the results you get back are for the device you are googling and not just any page with "iPhone 3G" and a lonely S.

It also happened the same time that Steve Jobs returned to work, so he probably did it.

Holy crap! You mean the 3G S is no longer the newest model?

I'm telling AT&T that I need an upgrade today!

They should let you upgrade. You're the consumer!
