Apple’s trade-in values are ridiculous. The most I can get for my 2021 M1 Max MBP 16” fully loaded, even with 8TB SSD is apparently $1445. By the time I upgrade, I’d rather use it as a serving tray than give it back to them.

Their trade in values have been ridiculous for a long time now. And the one time I tried it, it was an enormous hassle. There’s almost always something better to do with it than give it back to Apple.

Apple Trade-In has going for it the only thing iCloud does: convenience. Just like iCloud there are better ways out there, but because of convenience people choose it. That's what I did when I traded in my 13 Pro Max, I did it for the convenience of it, but I could have probably gotten $150 more for it on the street.

I'm kinda surprised Apple is giving $300 for my iPhone 12 Pro. Not interesting in trading it in, but still was higher than I expected.

My Ultra went from $390 trade in to $365? What a joke.

You'd think the value of the AWU would go up since it has more functionality than the AWU2 they currently sell. They can sell the referb AWU with the blood oxygen sensor enabled. :(

My 2020 12.9" iPad Pro went from $400 to $410. I've checked other third-party resellers and their offers have been lower than Apple's which is very unusual.

I would never trade-in at those low prices. I doubt they give much for upgrade RAM/SSD. I usually just hand my "old" Apple devices down to the family or give them to friends.
