i thought they charge right before shipping. I was surprised to see the whole thing taken out this morning.

Guess that’s a good thing

A lot of times what looks like charges are authorizations which drop off eventually. But if you ordered from Apple it may be coming from China so they could be preparing to ship it.

I got charged yesterday at 9am on both my iPhone and watch, but only the watch is PFS.

Does Apple preauthorize all of the preorders they receive, regardless of the delivery estimate? I preordered a Gold Aluminum 44mm for nephew, it's supposed to be here between Oct 12-18 but I haven't seen an authorization yet.

Just checked and it looks like Cook has got me too.

I had a temporary charge of $0 on my card yesterday from Apple, but now there are no charges. Take my money Apple!

Some of the aluminum models are preparing to ship now, and A good portion of the stainless models were predicted a later ship date from September 28 October 5 for delivery.

Heh, I got charged at 5 AM Friday morning. At the same time as I was charged for the tax payments for the two phones. Nothing to do with 'planning to ship'.

(All three charges are still pending, but they are that new, so... )

I ordered a stainless steel with a 9/21 delivery date. My card has been charged since my post above.:)
