Hello. I am saving to but Apple cinema but i want to be sure i can use it for both of my devices - Latest Macbook Pro with mini display port and WINDOWS PC BOX.
I have checked several fromums and most of them say that solution is over 150$ some kind of converter. Maybe i miss something - can you please advice what are the options to connect Apple Cinema to my desktop PC (running GTX 460 HAWK graphic)

I was thinking if below idea would work?

Idea is that Mini display port wire from CINEMA goes to Coupler (both sides female) and from that goes to Mini display port to DVI - and that goes to PC.

Any ideas could it work? Any experience?

As those other threads pointed out, you either get such HDMI or DVI to MDP converter, which costs 120 to 150 USD, or you get a GPU for your Windows computer, with DisplayPort or MDP out.

Your proposal will not work due to hardware constraints.
