Ok I want to know if I can buy a Apple display (20in) and use it with my mac mini (intel). what is the Apple DVI to ADC Display Adapter and do I need one?

The DVI to ADC adapter is used to connect the DVI out on your mini to one of the old Apple displays..

If your getting the 20" widescreen display it should connect right up to your mini without that adapter.

perfect... thanks alot. One more question, If I use the student discount do they check to see If I am a student? Even though I am 😀

Cant answer your last question, but just letting you know Im running a Mac Mini with a 23" ACD with the default adapters 😉

You have to go through an education store page (education.apple.com) for your school, and to get to that page, and to check out, you have to click through a legal contract stating that you're a student at that college. So no, they don't check, however it's in your best interest not to lie.
