Afternoon all.
After picking up the Apple pro max clear case I must say very impressed. Ordered the spigen ultra hybrid first then decided on the Apple case.
Apple case. Yea. I’d say overpriced. $25 more like it, but what can you do. Apple case is far clearer and the case is a mix of hard practice and silicon I’m thinking. Feels sturdier. Reason I went with the apple case is that the bottom of the case is open and when using the Phone and swiping up, I’m not bumping up against the bottom lip. Lastly. All i read was people taking the case off, saying it was impossible and a ton of cracked case worries. I got some gunk on the camera edge, not sure how, and got concerned after reading all the reviews. I took one side of the bottom off, then the other. Easy peasy. I’m assuming people are trying to pull the whole bottom off at once which is causing the problem

No, one corner at a time.

Enjoying my Apple clear case on my pro max as well. Not as bulky as the spigen Clear case I had on my xs max.

I have the Apple clear case as well. Feels great and looks good, too. They messed my order up and gave me the case for free.

The brand new case does look very nice. It feels good but is a bit slippery that I think will wear off with use. However I'm extremely disappointed that it hasn't even been on my phone 24 hours and it's showing scratches on the back already! Unfortunately I'll probably end up returning it. I didn't want a colored case but may not have a choice...

I got mine today for my 11 Pro Max and even before I got it I was 95% sure I'd be returning but....I like it! It does feel premium. A bit slippy in the hand. I'll use it for a few days to see if I'm keeping it or now but so far I'm more impressed than I thought.

Also, buttons could be a bit more responsive....

I wanted to love this case so much, it fits perfectly, but the buttons are so hard to press you can't press them without using the other side for leverage, and it is like a greased pig in your hand it is so slippery....I am brining it back today and already bought a Spigen Liquid Crystal which is what I used on my XS Max and it was perfect.....protected from drops effectively and it was like $11 so when it inevitably yellows I will buy another one. really surprised at the level of quality in the apple clear case....they went for looks and failed in all functionality...

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I wanted nothing more than to love the case but it ended up being one of the worst cases I ever owned. I can't believe it is an Apple product.
It was the opposite for me, I switched to the Spigen Ultra Clear Hybrid and it seems much slimmer and the buttons press with ease.
The Apple case, I had to almost hold with both hands for the buttons to register.
The worst thing about the case, you won't realize until a few days later, it becomes greasy and slick. You will be cleaning it like the screen of the phone, almost every day.

I think Crystal Clear cases have been improving over time, the "yellowing" on the edges is way different now, even on the cheap cases.

I find amaze that people think that a clear case will never get yellow over time, c'mon! there's grease on your hands ;)

Ordered this and returned it after using it for a few hours. Little to no protection, super slippery.

I have had the Apple iPhone ProMax clear case since launch and really like it. The only negative is it is slippery, but not enough to be a deal breaker for me. Pressing buttons haven't been an issue for me. I usually go with the Apple Silicone case as it provides a good grip on the phone, and may end up picking one up at some point, but I do like this clear case and feel its a good way to provide some protection and still show the actual color of your iPhone.

Tried a few clear cases, the Apple one, Ringkee, Spigen and Totalee. Returned them all and kept the ESR one which I think is the best. Good quality, good protection and feels good in the hand.

Can you please post a couple of pictures when you have a minute? I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and thinking of returning it for the ESR.

TIA
I looked at the ESR but it offered such minimal protection I couldn't trust it to protect the phone from a real drop. The Spigen Liquid Crystal has more of a bumper on it yes but I've already dropped it 3x and it's completely protected. I sacrifice a bit of coolness for peace of mind and the liquid Crystal is pretty minimal. I wanted the ESR but couldn't see it protecting the phone

The ESR mimic pictured above seems to have good drop protection. Are you talking about the Mimic case or a different model of ESR.

TIA

I was thinking of the very thin ESR, the ESR you picture above looks almost exactly like the Spigen Liquid Crystal....great choice....don't know the cost but the Spigen Liquid Crystal was $11 on Amazon

So far been using the Apple clear case for a week and still looks new, anyone use this long term to comment on how it’s holding up ?
