Either wait for another dozens of useless animojis, memojis, or whatever you call it, or get a cool Workstation – something like a Silicon Graphics … that was soooooo cooool (well I had one, YES!)

Silicon Graphics bit the dust back in 2009.

Out of curiosity, is the term 'close to inking a deal' a US term?
The only reason I ask is I see this term used a lot on new MacRumors posts, rather than 'close to signing a deal'
Maybe "inking" provides more certainty over "signing". When you read the word "inking", you would think like two people are sitting on the table, pens deawn and about to write the signature on the dotted line. :D

Apple inking deal, Apple close to deal, Apple snagged "x" director.... Who cares until they start delivering these shows. Hot air until then.

It's "hot air" when people are just talking about whether Apple should launch it's own video content creation. It's not hot air when they have budgeted a billion dollars to get started, have hired some of the top video content producers from around the world, and have signed contracts with about 20 of some of the top video content creators in the world for specific content. The competition is undoubtedly increasingly concerned, such that I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them start to restrict distribution via iTunes, etc., of their content in an effort to forestall Apple Video from taking off.

Apple Video or whatever they will call it, will, much to the haters chagrin, take off much faster than people realize. Amazon has shown that there is nothing unique to what Netflix or any of the others have done, as they are all going after the same talent, and Apple has the will and money to hire the best, and leverage their Video streaming like Amazon along other services. Netflix is the most vulnerable in this scenario as they can't raise price of service to keep up with likely rising prices for talent and content.

Anyone else getting some Studio Ghibli vibes from the first one? I mean, obviously with an Irish twisht.

Ghibli is a decent comparison. I've seen Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea (haven't caught The Breadwinner yet). The animation may look simplistic and flattish, but the storytelling and emotion is where these films shine. Cartoon Saloon is a studio to watch, much like Laika (Coraline, ParaNorman, Boxtrolls, Kubo and the Two Strings).
