No connection with the seller, and I think that they're in the stratosphere on their price, so am primarily posting for general interest/discussion.

I noticed this while browsing last night. It looks like a pretty good cross section of Apple products, and many of the items look to be much nicer than usually seen(i.e. the TiBook and Cube). The abundance of peripherals, and boxes for almost everything, really make the whole package nice. The TAM really completes the package :)

I think the price is insane on it, but it's still fun to look at.

We've seen this collection before; I remember the Costa Rica location. Seems like he couldn't shift it then. Pretty impressive and always worth another (envious) look.

are you sure that the price is insane?

Well, truth be told I don't really see a lot of big money items there.

The boxes and everything make it a really nice package, and the condition(from what I see) is superb on most everything. With that said, most of the PPC computers-even in the condition they're in-are probably no more than $100(or maybe $150 on a really good day)-and several of them are quite a bit less. The Clamshell iBooks are decently pricey(especially boxed), but I'd say that balances out some of the lower value machines like the G4 towers and eMac.

Probably the single most valuable item I see there is the TAM. The 128K and the other compact Macs are nice too, as are the portables. Those-on their own-would bring decent money.

And, unfortunately, I think that for any prospective buyers the peripherals like the printers are nice but realistically have next to no value on their own and take up a LOT of space.

Don't get me wrong-its a killer collection and I'd love to have it-but I'm just not seeing $40K in it.

Perhaps the seller just wants to brag and isn't really expecting anyone to buy, hence the eye-watering price tag.

"Free shipping to Miami, all this items are in Costa Rica, then I send all in a container by sea way. Thanks."
Seems legit. Who wants to bet the seller isn't trying to smuggle anything. I'm sure there is nothing illegal that ever travels between Costa Rica and Miami, FL.

Yeah, I have seen this; I think I saw another for about half that. This would be a hassle to ship, and this guy is really trying to milk it.

crazy

If I had the money to throw around, I would pay about 10k for this.

The best part though is that I think I'll use the 6th picture as a desktop wallpaper!
