Hello everyone,

A few years ago, a friend of mine gave me an Apple Color Plotter. I was cleaning out some stuff in the attic today and came across it. It is in the original box, with the original receipt. It has 2 or 3 multicolor ink pens still sealed and one group of ink pens installed in its print head (the installed pens still work too). I've printed test prints on it, so I know it works. I've done Google searches and have found that there is absolutely no information on this thing... my guess would be that they're pretty rare. Could anyone here give me more info about this printer? I'm thinking of putting it up on eBay. Any thoughts on how much I might hope to get for it?

Thanks!
Derek

Thats such a cool printer! I've only seen one of these before, and it was at a warehouse from a school disctrict. Good luck selling this piece of equipment! Its amazing how it prints... wish I bought one when they came out :D

the school i went to use to have one. these are very capable printers , yea you could not do the things you can on a printer of today. but its amazing with the proper software what this printer can do.

they will make great looking banners that i can say. it might be a little bit slow but a very fine printer. i dont think you could like print a web page out on it but simple graphics on it looks good.

the school had 2 printers one for to print web page like pages and this to do banners

have you tried mactracker to see if it has any info on it. if it dont get ahold of them and see if they can add it to there list.

Box and receipt? I'll give you $50 for it shipped... :p

Really, we had one at the company when I was a Mac Support Specialist... Most of them out there broke and discarded due to the large amount of mechanics...

I working one complete-in-box and receipt?

In Mactracker you can see the icon for this plotter under the heading 'Apple Color Printer' however the details and photo do not match.

I used to use an A2 plotter similar to this with Auto Cad back in my University days. Could take an hour or so to do a complicated drawing, it was almost hypnotic to see you design come to life.
