    omg people are getting psyched up that apple will drop the 3g iphone bombshell... hang on... chill. they wont just update the site before WWDC..

    APPLE WOULDNT JUST UPDATE THE SITE FOR ONE OF THEIR MAJOR PRODUCT RELEASES OF THE YEAR, GET IT, IPHONE 3G IS A BIG DEAL..

    most important announcement of the year i say for apple, huge milestone.

    It's big, of course, but not as big as when it was first announced. This is an upgrade of an existing product. The milestone has been reached already. The next iphone is big but something like the release of say, a tablet mac would be bigger. That would be a whole new direction for Apple.

    3G iPhone production stopped due to earthquakes in a major manufacturing part of China?

    Actually, I think that's the cause of the current shortage. They were anticipating an earthquake and stopped production months ago.
