For those of you wetting your pants (or worse)... keep in mind that some people never had the shipping update until delivery day. There were even some reports of people with phone in hand and no update yet on the Apple site. **** happens folks.

As to those that are calling UPS/FEDEX asking for a hold for an order that does not even exist in their system.. STOP. Leave those poor customer service people alone. They can adjust an order that does not exist (in their system that is).

My phone is about four hours away from me. I'm not expecting any useful tracking data until probably Thursday night.

Fortunately, we're a small segment of the population that are getting their iPhones on the 25th, or I'd be afraid of massive lines at the UPS Customer Centers on Friday morning.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some massive lines at UPS CCs on Friday... I've seen plenty of people trying to redirect their packages to CCs. Which I think it could be easier since it would take the burden off UPS Drivers going door to door delivering phones..

Am I the only one with their phone sitting in Harrisburg?

Will I still be able to pick up the phone if the address on my ID is different from the shipping address?

Maybe, but there were a lot of people choosing hold for pickup last year as well as for the Apple Watch (that was really crazy), but I never saw any lines. Anyway, we can pick up any time that suits us. Even if I wait until lunch, I'll have the iPhone sooner than if I waited at the house knowing that my UPS driver usually shows up around 3 pm

Have you checked your production week? You probably have a week 37 (or earlier). Since they were made two weeks ago, they already shipped here to the US and then get their shipping labels and are distributed from there. Mine is a week 38 and was made just last week so it's leaving China today. Last year, mine was in with a batch that sat in California the whole week (I'm in Utah) and then late Thursday night it shipped out and got here on Friday (launch day). That was the first year I didn't have tracking straight from China.

UPS Tracking can be done by going to the reference tab on UPS.com, put your phone number in.
Shows tracking information if your device has been shipped, if not then you'll see an error.

ood god this thread is going to go NUCLEAR once one of those planes in Hong Kong takes off.
Mine still says " preparing for shipment" but UPS track by reference (phone number) pulled it right up!

I have 3 orders:
  • 2 are in "Preparing for Shipment" (6S 16GB Rose Gold, 6S Plus 64 Rose Gold)
  • 1 in "Processing Items" (6S Plus 16GB Gold)
The 2 in "Preparing for Shipment" are showing up in "My Support Profile".

I did the same thing you did with pulling it up by reference (using my phone number)

Well I was a little surprised to see the name of airport where mine is right now, Chek Lap Kok, HK.

Really resisting all the security jokes right now ...

Must have done all this last year lol.

Ok but seriously, I guess to track via the flights you match up your shipping departure info with the flight times to guess which flight yours is on?

Chek Lap Kok is HKG ... the main airport in HKG... that's just the name for the area\manmade island.

Amazing how many Americans travel vicariously through their iPhone's order history, yet have never been to these places. LOL

So there are no UPS flights from China -> Anchorage for at least 6 hours. So us ZhengZhou folks will have to wait till tonight or tomorrow maybe to see any movement.

Whereas some of us have seen a lot of the world.

Some folks haven't even made it out of their parents' basements. :D
