Flight 63 finally took off and is due to arrive in a little over 4 hours. I find the "weather delay" suspicious since there was no delay at Anchorage for other flights (even for other UPS flights), but people tend to forgive "weather delay" as something beyond UPS' control, but not "something wrong with plane, had to fix". This will delay the delivery of most iPhones on board until Thursday.

As for Honolulu, once your package makes it to Ontario, CA, UPS runs two flights a day on weekdays to the islands, UPS 56 and UPS 2964.

I'm a little confused as to why my phone is now in Kentucky...???

Anchorage to Honolulu is a five hour flight. Why send it to Kentucky?

Now it updates to this??

According to the latest tracking data mine is there too.

That seems a little ridiculous to me. Why send a phone destined for Hawaii to Kentucky via Anchorage? Anchorage is a five hour flight from here.

Because UPS doesn't fly direct between Anchorage and Honolulu. There wouldn't be a lot of packages to make that flight. They do run a flight from Anchorage to Ontario, California, which can then go Ontario to Honolulu, but if there's no room on that flight, it will go to Kentucky, then to Ontario, then to Honolulu.

If y'all are arrived in Kentucky (do sample the fine bourbon while you are there), then you weren't on Flight 63, because it hasn't landed yet. However, if you don't have tracking outbound from Louisville by now, then you probably missed the Great Sort and the flights fanning out to hubs around the country. I think landing at 3am is almost certainly too late to make the flights outbound from Kentucky.

They clear customs in KY that is the UPS world hub. Almost everything goes there first. He phones never left the planes in Alaska they just refuel and do their flight checks there. I suspect the Taiwan weather delay is the explanation for sitting in Hong Kong for 4 days. They will update after being sorted from the pallets to the final destination hubs. They can still make it by 10/2 I am pretty sure.

Ha well now mine seems to have gone BACK to Taiwan from Alaska due to "severe weather"?

Taoyuan, Taiwan 09/30/2015 11:42 A.M. Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery.
Anchorage, AK, United States 09/29/2015 5:06 P.M. Departure Scan
09/29/2015 2:59 P.M. Arrival Scan
Taoyuan, Taiwan 09/29/2015 9:45 P.M. Departure Scan
09/29/2015 7:08 P.M. Arrival Scan

Bleh.
I think you are ok. They didn't really go back to Taiwan. They are sitting in Kentucky right now and have to clear customs. That is the UPS world hub from there they get shipped to our local hubs. They also update any exceptions from there and all have to have a location attached. The 4 day delay in Hong Kong going to Taiwan was probably the weather delay. They should update later today with a customs scan and be back in motion. Hoping for the 10/2 delivery date. 10/1 isn't going to happen.

We have ordered the same and have the exact same delivery slot. Mine is still processing with no signs. I got bumped up too.

Mine the same! Although I've gone Silver, 128!

It's coming!!

My credit card just got charged the full price about 10 minutes ago, so mine will be going to Preparing for Shipment very shortly it seems. Hopefully you guys will be seeing movement too.

Today is 9/30, right? Why wouldn't 10/1 happen?
It could still make it tomorrow just not holding my breath Mine has to clear customs and make the Oakland bound flight the get to San Ramon before it can get on a truck for delivery. Just hoping it makes by Friday.

Let's hope so..... I just don't want to get my hopes up. I am now checking the website on a regular basis (every 5 minutes). This is such an emotional rollercoaster.

If the flight had not been delayed, they could have been out for delivery today. Customs is normally totally automatic for a company like Apple. Very occasionally a pallet will be randomly selected for manual customs inspection, but that's not normal. Normally those inbound flights to Louisville land around midnight-1am Louisville time, get sorted onto their planes for the destination hubs, and start taking off around 3am Louisville time to end up on trucks shortly after for delivery that same day. Happens surprisingly quick once stuff hits Louisville. If your original delivery date was 10/1, it could easily make that, although if planes are overcrowded, UPS may take the "weather delay" mulligan and decide not to ship them out tonight.

Shouldn't be too much longer now :)

Mine is preparing for shipment now. I made a system which e-mails me when the status changes, has saved so much time over previous years when I was refreshing every 2 minutes.

Website has updated 10/1 again! Still hopeful but hasn't moved through customs yet though.

The Taiwan part ok. They have to use a location for updates. As. Long as no "arival" "departure" scan our phones didn't really go there
If you check again you should be back on schedule mine just got the import scan.

Made a system? How? I like the sound of it

Carrier: ATT
Estimated Delivery Date : Originally 9/28-10/3, but it slipped to 10/6-10/8
Phone: Space Grey 6s Plus 128 gig
Order time: about 8:30 am on 9/12

Disappointed that the date slipped. Still no sign of change from Processing. What's the sense of pre-ordering if people who ordered after are receiving theirs first?

Carrier: Sprint
Estimated Delivery Date : no fckngclue, suppose to be delivered to sprint store
Phone: Gold 6s Plus 64 GB
Order time: 9.13.2015 around 3:00 pm

I wish I had an estimated delivery date, but the sprint store just tells me they will call me when it's in. They won't even give me an estimate. This sucks so much!
