Apple.com only preorder tracking (NOT 9/25delivery)

Ordered 2 phones one 9/12 at 12 pm mountain time (6S+) the other 9/13 about 2 pm (6s)

6s+ 64gb rose gold
AT&T next
Delivery 10/12-10/19
Says "Processing Items"

6s 16gb space gray
AT&T next
Delivery 9/25
Says "Preparing for shipment"

Of course I'm the tech geek and getting the 6s+ after my husband gets his 6s. It's driving me crazy that he is going to get his first considering he didn't care if he got a new iPhone or not. Also had to wait forever to get my Apple Watch and that drove me batty too

Ordered with Apple through the app. My guess is, by the beginning of October, I'll see my cc get charged. I had one last month to pay on the Next program, hence the reason for the late order date. Otherwise I would've ordered on Saturday and maybe I would be getting my phone on launch day. But it is fun reading everyone else's excitement for their phones on launch day! I did the same thing with the Next program for 12 months. If the iPhone 7 comes out before this time next year, I know to go directly to the AT&T store and pay off the remaining months directly to get in on the pre-order frenzy!

I check mine a few times a day and of course there is no movement. I expect we might see something for us late next week. I'm hoping that as production increases we'll move up a week or more, but part of me believes that Apple's on-time supply chain game is so on target that it might not come early

I'm afraid of that too, the fact that mine has already slipped once makes me think that it will be awhile.

Could be possible that your order date slipped because of the color your getting?? I'm pretty sure most of us will get our phones on whatever the delivery date we were given at check-out. Although i've seen some responses from people who were having their delivery dates move up by a week.

I hope to get mine sooner for some amazing reason, but that date it still pretty decent. Hoping the time will fly by. I am so excited for the new rose gold and 3D touch.

Absolutely, I am going for 64g rose gold 6splus..... Which is probably the most scarce combo there is!
 
A good indication that things are starting to break our way will be when we see a charge on whatever account was used for payment. Apple doesn't charge until the order is about to ship. Again, I don't expect it until late next week at the crazy earliest. It would be sweet to see my delivery date move up on the order status page though.

I'm so glad you started this thread. I've been wondering about people who are in the same boat as me. I don't mind waiting a few weeks longer. Gives me something to look forward to.

Also, does anyone know how to purchase AppleCare+ once I receive the phone? Do I have to do it by phone? The website won't let me add it to my cart unless I have a qualified item in the cart as well.

When I got my Apple Watch, I just ordered Apple Care+ over the phone by calling the Apple Customer Support line. It was fast and easy. You can also go into any Apple store and they will add it for you too. You can only buy it online if you check out with it as an added option and pay for it then. Your card is then charged immediately the $129 for Apple Care +, but your card won't be charged for the new phone until it ships.

Once you get the iPhone 6S Plus, contact Apple Care and tell them you want to add applecare + added to your device. They will verify and will have you run diagnostic remotely and once it passes the test, they should be able to add applecare +, as long as you can pay over the phone.

Or if you have apple store near you, you can take it to them, they will physically look at your phone to see if there was any damage. If no damage, they can add it in store. I believe you have 60 days from the day you receive it to add applecare +

Totally understand when your in the group of scarcity. I remember back when the white color was supposed to debut with iPhone 4 and I held out for a little bit and it never happened until iPhone 5. So I ended up with black for iPhone 4. Went to white with the 5, and 6 plus, and now back to black screen with space gray for the 6s plus.

I keep telling myself I can wait until delivery next month. But I'm getting pretty stoked for the launch.

Wow seriously? I ordered on 9/15 around 7pm with exact same configuration and carrier as you and got 10/13-10/20 delivery date. Interesting they bumped your date up. I ordered with the Apple Store app on my phone. What did you use?

Second year in a row getting screwed by AT&T for launch day delivery.

Made sure I didn't order from AT&T directly this time, but I still had to delay placing my order a few days for Next program eligibility. I know that launch delivery isn't happening, but I can't stop myself from irrationally hoping for some movement.

Same thing happened to me as far as eligibility with the Next program and had to wait until the 15th to order and put mine in at 6:20pm. I've got same delivery date as you. We'll probably see something happen in the next week or so.

I ordered through apple.com website. Not sure why the date got bumped, they didn't notify me of it, I just noticed the last time I logged in.
 
I ordered through the Apple Store app on my iPhone here in the UK. Went for the 16GB 6s plus rose gold and was given estimate date for delivery 09/10/15-16/10/15 keeping my fingers crossed. Although I'll give my local Vodafone store a go this Friday and perhaps cancel apples if I can get one before them
 
Tried to pre order at the stroke of midnight via web and wouldn't load. after try and trying for 10 minutes I remembered hearing that it worked better for some people using the Apple store App via iPhone. Gave this a try and managed to snag my phone right away.

btw, located in NYC (Lower Manhattan) and saw the post about service delays until monday due to pope visit and almost had a heart attack. Luckily my zip code wasn't in the list of affected.
